Have a grand opening or community event coming up? Don’t just plan the event—plan your content strategy, too.

👉You’re putting time, money, and effort into making this a success—so make sure you maximize your reach.

Here’s how to do it right:
📍 Have a plan – Before the event, map out key photo-opportunities and decide who will be capturing content. If possible, hire a professional or assign a team member to focus solely on social media.

📸 Capture everything – Take as many photos and videos as possible. The more content you collect, the more you can repurpose later for ongoing marketing.

📲 Post throughout the day – Share multiple Instagram Stories and REELS, use local hashtags, and tag any partner businesses to maximize engagement and reach.

🔥 Build the FOMO – Show people what they’re missing, and they’ll want to be part of it.

We did exactly this for Ctrl V Cambridge’s grand opening. Over six weeks, we marketed the event using a mix of paid and organic social content.

⚡️The result? 850+ registrations and over 500 people showing up to experience virtual reality firsthand⚡️

Throughout the event, we captured hundreds of video clips and photos, creating a treasure trove of evergreen content for Ctrl V’s ongoing digital marketing. This allowed them to maximize their investment and keep promoting their brand long after the grand opening.

⚡People keep asking HOW DID WE make those bandanas fly?⚡

Remember the locker hooks video Waldo starred in last week? Yeah, the one where he totally nailed his performance. Well, since posting it, we’ve been getting tons of questions about how we made those bandanas fly.

👉Nope, it wasn’t a green screen trick. In fact, it’s an old Hollywood magic trick—fishing wire! It looks invisible on camera, and that’s how they used to make all kinds of things “fly” back in the day. Pretty cool, right?
