Hi Everyone! We have some exciting news to share that we have been working on in the background over the last month. We are so proud to announce the new Not-for-Profit that has taken over Freddy Beach Fan Fest; The Alternative Arts Association of Atlantic Canada! We want to turn the A.A.A.A.C. (or as we like to scream AAAAC!!!) into a community force that goes beyond FBFF, to help foster and create more opportunities for Alternative Artists throughout New Brunswick and Atlantic Canada. I am so grateful to my other three directors for helping me to take this challenge on and making sure the dream continues. So many thanks to our new and returning Directors - Jamie-lee Ward, Hannah Travis, Angela Balasevicius and thankyou to all of our supporters and family who have helped us to be able to do this. I also thank all of you for being patient with the handover and sticking by us during this time. I spent my weekend at and hanging out with the coolest guy ever, .actor.

I was brought in to a wonderful team of people and together we started , a not-for-profit designed to provided more opportunities for artists, creators, writers and more to showcase their work and to help bridge the gap between industry professionals and people trying to break into the industry.

I am so proud and blessed to be a part of this incredible organization and I look forward to the wonders we will bring to the maritimes.

I hope you will all be a part of our future.

I'm a great example of personal branding (I will toot my own horn when I can! 😉).

More and more people want to connect with the person behind the screen and behind the business. Let them get to know you by sharing pictures and stories from your life.

I slept in this morning and apparently I hit snooze a bunch of times if I took this screenshot at 8:06am... I have zero recollection of this.

For reference, my alarm goes off at 7:15 AM to wake up for the day. 🤦‍♀️

Social Media growth doesn't happen overnight. It will take time to build and it does require nurturing.

Posting content is only part of the story; the rest is written while you are actively engaged with your audience. Respond to comments on your content, 'like' other posts, and share related posts from other creators.

You're putting together a community of people that support your brand. The hard work will pay off.

Understanding how your audience is viewing your content provides valuable insight that you shouldn't ignore.

Once you're posting consistently, you'll be able to find out what type of posts your audience prefers, and then you can pivot your strategy to provide your audience with the content they want.

Which then converts into more business for you.

Before you begin creating content, you have to figure out who it is you're trying to connect with and discover how they're using social media.

This means it's time to break out the books (or in this case, Google!) and do some research. I've provided you with some basic statistics to get you started.
