This album is a great reminder of how fortunate we are here on Vancouver Island to be living amongst legendary musicians!
This song was written by Jack Lavin, founder & bass player of Juno award winning Powder Blues Band. Jack hosts “Thirsty Thursday” every week at The Loft Pub in Victoria along with his partner in “Rhythm Train” Ross Hall.
Also on this album is Wayne Kozak on sax. Wayne is a member of the Thor Jonsson Band which is the host band for our “Boogie By The Bay Jam” on the third Thursday of each month and performs solo and with other bands around the Island.
The album cover design for “Thirsty Ears” is the handiwork of none other than artist & vocalist Hank Lionhart of Uncle Wiggly's Hot Shoes Blues Band, Blue Hearts Duo, & The Smoking Hot Toasters and Butterhorns! Hank is also the designer of many event posters for Sasquatch Music including our “Boogie Bay By The Bay” event, for which we are extremely thankful.

Sunday Blues Services with the Deb Rhymer Band at our new location at Wicket Hall at the iconic Strathcona Hotel 919 Douglas Street. Doors at 3 pm. Jam runs from 4 to 730 pm. FREE Parking in the Broughton Street parkade next door. Great blues jam, 2 dance floors, food service, table service, elevator for those with mobility issues and our regular 50/50 draw. $5.00 cover charge but always free for jammers! Hey Vancouver Island! Be sure to check out the Jason Lane Band from the Mainland performing in Parksville this Friday! They’re a talented Blues Rock band with some solid songwriting. I had the pleasure of meeting them last year at the Fraser Valley Blues Society‘s IBC competition where I was a judge and they finished first in the Band Category!
