On this day in 1985, Rick Hansen set out on the 40,000 km Man In Motion World Tour. Today he looks back on what it means to him:

"They say a journey of a thousand miles begins with one step. I began 37 years ago today, but it was just the first step in raising awareness of the potential for people with disabilities," Rick says. "Although we have made significant strides towards a healthy and inclusive world where everyone can go everywhere, we are still on the journey today. I'm grateful for everyone who has been by my side every step and wheel stroke of the way."

Track meets are a great way to improve your personal bests, meet new people, and have fun! The 2022 Van Ryswyk Indoor and BC Masters Indoor meet was this weekend. Christine Dalgleish, Joan Harris, Elena Thomas and Tuomas Ukonmaanaho all represented PGTF this weekend in Kamloops. Tom was picked up by a 4x800m relay team (Greyhounds) and they beat the world record time by half a minute! Christine and Joan both beat the indoor record for weight throw with Christine now holding it, with a throw of 8.77m.  Everyone came home with medals!!! Congratulations to these wonderful athletes🏅💙
