🖋️ Appraisers will be on site so bring in your antique and vintage items to see what treasures you may have!*

*These are general appraisals and cannot be used for estate or insurance purposes.

➡️ Appointments need to be made in advance for all appraisals.

💲 Cost to have an item appraised is $10, or $25 for three.

➡️ Schedule your appointment by contacting Steveston Historical Society at [email protected] prior to the event.

Once you have an appointment, please complete the Customer Appraisal Information Sheet (PDF, 228KB) and submit to the SHS no later than Nov. 15th.

🟠 NATIONAL DAY FOR TRUTH AND RECONCILIATION

🔸Each year, September 30 honours the children who never returned home and Survivors of residential schools, as well
as their families and communities.

🔸Public commemoration of the tragic and painful history and ongoing impacts of residential schools is a vital component of the reconciliation process.

🔸 For the first time, the Survivors' Flag will be displayed at City Hall

The Survivors' Flag is an expression of remembrance meant to honour residential school survivors and all the lives and communities impacted by the residential school system in Canada.

🔸 The “Together' statue at Minoru Centre for Active Living will be illuminated in orange, in honour of this day.

🔸 Some City facilities may have reduced hours or be closed in observance of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.
For specific Community Centre hours, please check with the community centre.

Our amazing community partners Richmond Cares Richmond Gives is in need of volunteer drivers!

Richmond Better at Home Transportation Service supports local seniors to live independently in their homes and stay connected with their community. Drivers are matched with clients who require transportation assistance to and from medical appointments, community events, exercise classes, visits to family members, and other outings.

Even if you're short on time, this is a flexible role that can be built around your schedule. With every ride, you'll make a difference in your community and put a smile on a senior's face! Volunteers are also reimbursed for gas expenses incurred during rides.
