Are you looking to create killer content for your social media channels? Here are four quick things to keep in mind to ensure your content is the best it can be!

First, it's important to know your audience. Who are you trying to reach? What kind of content do they enjoy? By understanding your audience, you can create content that resonates with them, increasing the likelihood they'll engage with your posts.

Second, use brand authenticity when creating content. It's essential to stay true to your brand's values and personality. By doing so, you'll build trust with your followers and create a consistent brand image across all your social media channels.

Third, WIIFM. Aka, "What's in it for me". Anyone scrolling either stops for your content, or keeps scrolling. What's in it for them? Why should they stop at your content? Make it valuable - try to hit something within your content pillars.

Last but not least, consider engagement. Social media is all about the conversation, so make sure your content is designed to encourage your followers to engage with you in some shape way or form. Whether it's through a call-to-action or simply asking a question, engagement can help increase your reach and build a community around your brand.

“We keep posting the sales we have on Facebook and Instagram but no one is buying. Why?”

Well, it could be for a bunch of reasons but one of things you can start with that has minimal cost associated is to start the conversation online.

This one can be an easy (but time consuming) fix. If they are commenting on a post, comment back! They send you a reaction in a story? Double tap that reaction. If someone asks a question in your DMs….answer them! Ask for their opinion in a story that is a poll.

It’s amazing the difference you’ll find once you become a more interactive space for your audience and potential customers/clients.

The algorithm loves when we keep people on the apps longer by reading or interacting with profiles.

✨ It’s an easy step to take to help build your social media + sales strategy. Spend even five minutes a day for a few weeks and watch the difference!

The biggest 🤦🏼‍♀️ moment with any business.

A target market is exactly what it sounds like - a market that you’re trying to target with your products/services.

The more specific, the better. Then you can apply marketing tactics to reach that market more specifically.

Wanting people “who have money” is NOT a target market.

Let’s take a minute to talk about
✨B O U N D A R I E S✨

Content creators/social media marketers/managers, community managers…etc etc…are human.

Social media can be 24/7, but that doesn’t mean that you have to be, too.

👏🏻 Set boundaries.

👏🏻 Enforce them.

Yes, an emergency can arise.
9 times out of 10 though, it can wait the five minutes, the hour, the business day.

This current society is obsessed with having answers immediately.
Google at the touch of a button.
Texting and wanting a response.
Wear your phone on your wrist so you don’t miss a thing.
Tag people on a platform and not so patiently wait for a response.

It’s expected now for people. But, don’t let that be the expectation for clients or the public. You can work better with a clear mind where you can be attentive and respond with purpose.

For me, I’m a base point for multiple clients. And being at everyone’s immediate side is practically impossible which is why as a social media manager, I have to make sure I set out boundaries…

Boundaries are cool, you should set them too 😎

Just your friendly social media manager re-appearing in the feed 😂

Strategy. What a word. It can be tricky for sure.

My “strategy plan” is not the same for every client. Why?
Because they are all different! They have different target markets, different products, different sales goals!
And guess what? Strategies do expire.

I monitor engagement, sales conversions, reach, etc etc and if those numbers aren’t reflecting the potential of what it could…it’s time to switch it up.

All that to say: don’t get hung up on one particular strategy. What works for you might not work for the business across the road ✨

Small business social media tip! 💡 Followers does not equal sales. One more time. Followers. Does. Not. Equal. Sales. Yes, of course you want to eventually have a platform where your primary audience is larger but even then you want to make sure that the audience thats there- is the right audience. 👥 I talk about audience a lot because honestly the top 2 things my clients are worried/complain about is: 1. I don’t know what or when to post 2. I don’t have enough followers You will get there. Going viral is not something that’s the norm. Take the time to build your platform and build your online community. These are the people that will likely share your content, tag friends, buy your product, use your services and so on. Focus on THAT 👏🏻 Basically what I’m saying is, you’re doing great! Don’t be so hard on yourself when it comes to going “viral”. Don’t stress to much about your follower count daily. Take a look each month and see what’s happening and how to reach more people (might be time to switch up your strategy!) So many people struggle this time of year feeling like they aren’t enough, they can’t do things and feel like they are stuck both personally + in business. Here’s the thing. You’re human. Give yourself a little grace. Be gentle and encourage yourself because you’re capable of some amazing things. Entrepreneurs are some of the most resilient people that I know because they’re constantly rolling with the punches, adapting and steering their business successfully… all while still remembering to do laundry when they get home. One step at a time folks. Take it one day at a time, and just remember that you can do hard things.
