Dear friends and members of our community,

It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of Suleiman Khawar’s passing. We have lost a beautiful soul, a beloved son and brother, and a friend to many.

Suleiman's gentle nature, kind heart, and empathetic spirit have left a lasting mark on all who knew him. He will be fondly remembered for his sweet gestures, passion for music, enjoyment of board games, and for his love of the great outdoors.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone who stood by us during the search for Suleiman. Your unwavering support and tireless efforts have meant the world to our family.

In light of this tragic loss, we would like to extend an invitation to attend the funeral service to honor the memory of Suleiman.

Ṣalāt al-Janāzah will be held on Friday, June 9th, following the Friday prayer, which will start around 1:30 PM at Al-Salam Mosque, located at 5060 Canada Way, Burnaby BC.

Following the Ṣalāt al-Janāzah, the burial will take place at Victory Memorial Park & Funeral Centre (at approximately 3 PM), 14831 28 Ave, Surrey, White Rock.

In this difficult time, we kindly request your presence and prayers as we mourn the loss of our beloved Suleiman.

May his soul rest in eternal peace.

We are seeking dashcam footage from any vehicles that may have driven over or around Granville bridge between 1-3am on May 26th.

We also continue to humbly seek help in getting cctv footage from the South Granville area at the same time.

We are approaching a full week since Suleiman first went missing on May 25, 2023

Thanks to the help of various businesses we have gained CCTV footage from the night he went missing. However, we have not received any new footage of Suleiman since Sunday, May 28, 2023.

We humbly request your help to reach out to local businesses to access CCTV footage from the night he went missing. We are also seeking dashcam footage from any vehicles that may have driven over and around Granville bridge between 1 am - 3 am, May 26, 2023.

The CCTV footage we seek is primarily concentrated in the circled region, as that is where Suleiman was last confirmed to be seen.

Help us bring Suleiman home.

Suleiman Khawar, our 23-year-old brother, son, and dear friend is missing and we need your help. Last seen on May 25 heading East bound on Robson from Burrard North Side at 10:09pm.

Suleiman told us he was on his way home around midnight from Mansion Night Club, but he hasn't been seen since. Our family is deeply concerned for his well-being.

Hello. My name is Wazhma Khawar and I am Suleiman's mom. I work at a daycare and take care of your children. And today, I need the help of Greater Vancouver and the help of people around the world who have family in Greater Vancouver to tell them to say hello to me please.

People always ask me "What can I do for you today?". Today, I am asking that everyone please all come together and help me find my son. All the stores in Vancouver, please check your cctv camera footage from May 25 9:30pm till morning May 26. He was last spotted on camera footage heading East passing 1111 W Georgia St on the North side of the road at approximately 10pm.

When you come down for your coffee, check your alley and around your building and when you go to work today, please be on the lookout. I will be looking for him around Canada place at 12:30pm today; come and help us bring Suleiman home 🙏

On Thursday night/Friday morning(May 25/26 2023), Suleiman Khawar went missing. He was last seen in the Paradox Hotel in downtown Vancouver, British Columbia.

He made a call around midnight to his Mom saying he was on his way home. Since then, we have had no contact with him. We have called, texted etc but there is no answer.

He did not show up to work the next day which is unlike him. Please share this page and any information you may have.
