Happy Pride Month!

We are so grateful to have this month of learning.

It is a time for us to really step back and hear from the LGBTQIAS2+ community and reflect on what we can do the other 11 months of the year.

We take what we learn from this month and carry it forward with us.

The countdown to summer is on!

We are just 23 days away from the official first day of summer.

We are looking for volunteers to write for us!

Yes, you... with the cold coffee in your hand that you forgot has been sitting out for hours already (no judgment, mine is still in the microwave).

This opportunity truly is the easiest and most fun way to have your voice and story reach others just like you! You can even write anonymously.

Here's the deal:

we add you to our email list, and 3-4 times a year, you will receive a list of possible topics

you can select a topic or suggest one

you write your article in the most chill way, pretend you are having a conversation with a friend, no research needed because we want YOUR experience!

we edit and publish it (with or without your name)

That's it!

Skip a month or two, write for all 4 months we will publish for, write once a year...you get to choose!

Flourish is going digital!

While we absolutely loved our print edition it's just not feasible moving forward.

So we're taking Flourish digital.

Flourish will be available on a quarterly basis as a digital magazine.

We are still working on the pricing model but are excited about going digital.

This gives us a little more freedom and doesn't restrict word or page counts.

The first digital issue will be available in September!

Join us in welcoming Jessica to the Flourish team!

Jessica Kemp is a 33-year-old writer, author, childcare provider, and zumbini instructor.

She lives in Etobicoke with her daughter and husband although, originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.

She has co-authored 4 books; “Pretty, Paid & Powerful: 40 Days to Empowering the Woman Within”; “We All Belong”, “WTF Am I Even Doing?” & children’s book: “Aubrii’s Adventures: A Day in The Life of ASD”.

She is also the author of her own children’s book, “Never Too Far Away” which has been sold in-store at the Glad Day Bookshop in Toronto.

Jessica was a former writer for Flourish Magazine and she is excited to embark on this journey with her new position as Managing Editor.

We are so excited to announce our new partnership!

As you know I have run Flourish on my own since its conception and its a BIG job.

I knew that in order to make it successful and bring it back to life I needed to partner with someone.

Jessica was one of the writers for Flourish, we actually met on Instagram. She understands the brand and the vision and I cannot wait to see how this partnership grows and where Flourish takes us.

We have a few other posts coming your way today and tomorrow that will explain a bit more.

But in the meantime join me in welcoming Jessica to the Flourish team!!

It's announcement day!

We are beyond thrilled to share how we are going to move Flourish forward and what that looks like.

But you'll have to wait til noon.

I know the anticipation must be nagging at you but we want to make sure we have everything in place and that we can continue to move this forward without any more long pauses.

Just 2 days away ftom our big announcement!

We started Flourish just before the pandemic hit. We had big dreams for Flourish.

But life had other plans.

And after a hiatus we are coming back!

Flourish was received so well back in our print days and we hope you'll continue to follow along with us in our new journey.

We want to continue to bring content to parents by parents.

This month is month and yesterday was - we know every woman has different experiences before, during, and after pregnancy. We also know many women struggle with their experiences. We want to encourage every woman to share their experiences whether good or bad. These stories can help another woman in the same position.

We want to remind everyone to reach out, speak up, and be there for anyone who may be struggling with mental health. Together we can lean on each other. As parents, moms, and women we are our best advocates.

If you ever need to chat, a virtual hug, or simply a place to rant our DMs are open. If you want to share your story we are creating that platform for you.

Our fourth issue is all about transitioning. We want to hear your stories of transitions from any age. Whether that's transitioning from daycare to big school or transitioning from a long distance move or transitioning from a child to a teenager. We know as moms you have lots of stories and experiences you can share. If you are interested in submitting please comment below or DM us!

Flourish is shifting! But this time change is good 👍 we are taking Flourish completely digital. Our first digital magazine will be available for purchase in January 2022 for just $3.99 you will be able to download a PDF version straight from the website. But before that happens we are on the hunt for moms who would like to share a story about transitioning. This can be transitioning from 1 to 2 kids, from a crib to a toddler bed, from daycare to big school, from child to pr***en. DM us if you have a story you would like to contribute.

Hi Moms! We have missed you and we are excited to be back. We took a break, we suffered a little pandemic fatigue and doubt, but we figured it out. And we're ready to get back to sharing all the stories from all the moms in our community!

We want to hear from your kids! We know is difficult and we know kids have had to give up so much over the last year. We want to hear from them - How do you feel about doing school at home? Do you think it's been hard to stay home? - if your child would like to write a response we would love to hear from them. We want to give our littles a voice and will be compiling a blog post with all the answers that we will share on our website. Please just include your child's first name with their response or just their first initial if you don't wish to use their name and their age. You can email all responses to [email protected]

We have been quiet around here as we try and figure out the future of the magazine. Please have a look through our stories to learn more. But we wanted to share this exciting news with you! Flourish has been nominated for the Reach Beyond Award from we are super excited about this and so grateful for the nomination. Winners will be announced tonight!

This issue has some great articles for moms returning to work during COVID, for moms who own businesses, for moms who need to have "the talk" and a whole other variety of articles! Flourish Magazine

We are a magazine designed by moms for moms. Flourish is a publication, both online and in print, that is for the mom who is going through the toddler years, who is struggling to breastfeed, who is the mom of a pr***en or the mom who is just looking for an outlet they can relate to.

Over the years we have read numerous magazines related to parenting and skimmed a variety of blogs but haven't found a space that we constantly go back to. We hope with Flourish we can be that space for you.

Motherhood is an amazing and challenging journey. With Flourish we want to create an all inclusive community where moms can turn to for answers, real life experiences they can relate to or just a space to know that they are not alone.
