Story time: My Mom wasn’t impressed when I came home with this school pic. She always made sure I had my hair done nicely for school & that morning she took extra time with my pigtails. 🙈 Years later, we shared a wholesome belly laugh when this pic resurfaced. Still that same girl. Frizzball, rocking a comfy crew.

‼️ Fun fact .. The Little Mermaid was the 1st movie I watched as an immigrant newcomer to Canada. My takeaway was to never give up your voice, no matter the cost. 🧜🏽‍♀️

We’re in Q3 & I’m hella reflective already. I’m already finalizing all of 2023 experiential activations & experiential events. But, before I give those details, since it’s been a while I wanted to have an intimate conversation with the fam (YOU) & catch you up with what’s been going on and what to expect for the remainder of 2022.

𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘪𝘭𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨: this year has been a true Blessing! During the pandemic we birthed a biz baby with my biz bestie - 𝐓𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐬. We haven’t formally introduced our biz to The Hub fam. As part of the MRKT wrap up, I’m sharing two HUGE Hub supporters who so happen to also be incredibly amazing small business champions &&& amazing human beings. 🥹🫂

We were able to gift Pam and her kids with a family set of tickets into Dixie Orchards along with a credit to spend at the farms shop. 🤑🍂🍎

Claudia was the winner of our door prize & was gifted with a bag full of items from some of the participating vendor team including other small businesses who donated a one-two items to giftaway. 🛍🎁

Endometriosis Events is a Registered Charity in Canada for individuals living with Endometriosis. Join our journey as we raise awareness by providing workshops, school programs, support groups and events for the 1 in 10 affected in the Greater Toronto Area. We create custom teas that are filled with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.

We aim to create a positive space where feel empowered and stories are being heard. We hope our advocacy will encourage an open dialogue and make an impact on the critical issues of this condition.

Two elements we’ve always done at our MRKTS have been an interactive way to thank the shoppers for supporting local & also thanking the vendors for putting in the work that’s required to make the experience ✨ 𝙢𝙖𝙜𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 ✨

This event we tried something a little different for our raffle & decided to introduce our “shopper rewards program” and for every 8 vendors that our patrons shopped at - their rewards cards became a ballot into our raffle price. This year, 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐚 𝐑𝐨𝐣𝐚𝐬 won our Open for Biz Bucks shopping spree at our next MRKT.

My goal with the vendor team is to have them have an incredible experience throughout - not just the day of market but all through the month long campaign. Top prize goes to 𝐕𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚 𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐚 - you’re dedication & intention came thru; always keeping it interactive & fun! And 2nd prize goes to 𝐄𝐮 & 𝐎𝐬 - can’t wait to start planning the 1:1 exclusive campaign.

We spoiled the MRKT team with over $1,500 in Open for Biz bucks for our 𝑪𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝑴𝒆 𝒊𝒏 𝑺𝒖𝒏𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒆 𝑴𝑹𝑲𝑻 𝑬𝒙𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆. Def went over budget this year but it was totally worth it. 🤭🤑 It’s been something I’ve been doing since inception & is one of the unique incentives we will continue nurturing. We also donated $350 to the .spirit.fund 🪶🧡 We will continue to work together with this incredible organization in our future experiences to continue doing our part to make a difference.
