I had a crazy thought today, probably more delusional than crazy, but here it is' As I was listening to some good ol' Mellancamp I thought about the song Check It Out, and thought I should contact Mellancamp or his people and request permission to use the end of the song for the outro of my podcast.
Then i rasked myself who the hell I thought I was. In the woords of Mr Eminem "Snap back to reality"

For some, okay MOST podcasters it's all about the numbers. Yes, it's nice to know people are listening. but for me, I'm more interested in where people are listening to my little podcast from When I first started BTL i had maybe people from 2 or 3 xountries listening, but now, well here, you check it out and see if this doesn't impress you for this little podcast.

So, I've been thinking, yes indeed, a dangerous occurrence, about the podcast. We are currently in Season 4 22 episodes in. As it stand right now, we have gone above our seasonal average of 17 episodes, not including the bonus Christmas episode(s). I still have a couple of completed interviews and I have some interviews slated for next week.
All that to say this, I think Between the Lines The Podcast will perpetually remain in season 4, with the occasional special podcast thrown in.
I'd be curious to hear what you think about this. Or if you have another suggestion, interview idea, or guest you'd like to hear on the show, or maybe even yourself.

INVITATION & REMINDER

I know it's only August but I thought I would put this out there as an invitation and a reminder to don't forget to start working on your original Christmas themed stories, songs, memories, amd poetry for the Between the Lines Christmas bonus episodes.
What You Need to Do
1. Write your original piece
2. Record yourself reading or singing it (max 23mb)
3. Send it to the show at; [email protected] Use 'Bonus" as the subject.
4. Deadline for submissions is Dec 18th.
5. Wait until Christmas to hear it
