🦹 Who can be a member?

Anyone who supports our nonprofit’s vision, mission, and values can become a voting member. This means only members in good faith are accepted, who agree with our core values as they relate unhoused folx and people who use drugs:

🦝 What does membership include?

Members of a not for profit corporation generally have the right to do the following:

❤ Vote at a meeting of the members
🖤 Elect directors and remove them from the board [our by-laws require that we resign each year at the AGM, but all four members of the founding board will be seeking re-election]
❤ Submit proposals for topics to be discussed at members’ meetings, and discuss any matter that qualifies as a proposal at an annual general meeting (AGM), even if the member didn’t submit a proposal in advance
🖤 Nominate a director if 5% of voting members agree to this
❤ Approve or confirm by-laws
🖤 Examine corporate records (i.e. minute book)
❤ Receive financial statements and accountant/auditor’s report
🖤 Approve major or fundamental changes (e.g. change to the objects/purposes of the corporation)

🎩 What does membership cost?

Membership is absolutely free, and requires only your vote at the Annual General Meeting. Proxy votes will be available for those unable to attend.

📝 How do I join?

Simply message the page or email us at [email protected] to be added to our member roster. Include your full name and contact email. Our AGM is scheduled for October 25th, and we're excited to see you there!

We've been busy the last 2 weekends filming some beautiful weddings at some gorgeous locations!

Whistling Gardens is a stunning maze of flowers, trees, fountains and more! It even boasts an absolutely amazing musical fountain show that lights up at night!

Knottingwood is a newer venue with a gorgeous building and breathtaking country view. Check out that bar!
