Authorities have conducted a search warrant of a property in Cleveland County in connection with the disappearance of 9-year-old Asha Degree, missing since 2000.

Police have towed a car from the property believed to match the description of a car involved in the case and have taken several items from the home, however they have confirmed that NO human remains have been discovered.

The lawyer for the owner of the property has held a press conference in response to the developments. No arrests or charges have been made at this time.

S05E20: Who is Rex Heuermann?: The Long Island Serial Killer Case - Part 4

It's the final episode of the season and also the conclusion to our Long Island Serial Killer case coverage! In this episode, we focus on the arrest of the case's prime suspect Rex Heuermann in July 2023 after years of investigation and mounting pressure from the public and victims' families.

We discuss the arrest, the evidence that led investigators to Heuermann and the reaction from those closest to him and his many alleged victims. As the killer faces charges, questions still linger about his motives, the extent of his crimes, and the possibility of even more revelations and evidence to come.

With the serial murders going unsolved for over a decade, we uncover everything that was happening behind closed doors inside the police force that led to the long delay in finding the monster responsible. Ultimately, the case is solved, but at what cost and after how many others were placed at risk?

In part 2 of our Long Island Serial Killer coverage, we delve deeper into the discovery of six more bodies near the Gilgo Beach dumping grounds, including two with a connection to a 1997 cold case. S05E17: The Dumping Grounds: The Long Island Serial Killer Case - Part 1

Our final true-crime deep dive of the season focuses on the Long Island Serial Killer, which all begins with the disappearance of 23-year-old Shannan Gilbert on May 1, 2010. The night took a chilling turn when a 911 call captured Shannan's frantic screams and desperate attempts to seek help from neighbors before abruptly cutting off, leaving her fate a haunting mystery.

As authorities launched a search for Shannan, their efforts took a grim turn when they instead uncovered the remains of four other missing women, all escorts who had vanished years earlier under mysterious circumstances. This discovery opened a harrowing investigation into what would become known as the Long Island Serial Killer case (LISK), unraveling a pattern of disappearances and deaths that pointed to a calculated predator at large.

Was Shannan Gilbert's disappearance just a sad coincidence and it was simply fate that led police to the dumping ground of bodies they eventually uncover? Or was she too a victim of LISK who met her untimely death in a similar way to those before her?
