Jessica shares, "I wrote New Moon about four years ago. My mom asked me to write a meditative piece for her to listen to as she started her mornings in contemplation. Since it was a New Moon, I wrote a meditation on all that the New Moon means—new beginnings, emerging possibilities, growth, and transformation.
For years, I've thought that I'd like to rework the piece with a cellist. When I had the privilege of working with Jeremiah on another project and got to hear his musicianship and improvisational skills, I thought, 'Here we go! I found my cellist!' The fact that his last name is Moon was just the cherry on top!"

“Memoirs From Vincent” is a heartfelt ode to Vincent, the small, broken piano that marked the beginning of Arrowsmith's journey into composing and releasing his own music. This beloved piano accompanied Arrowsmith everywhere and became the source of countless compositions that have shaped his career to date.
In November 2022, Vincent became unplayable, leading to the purchase of a new piano featured on this album. While Vincent wasn’t played on these recordings, its presence was felt across the room, witnessing the creation and recreation of each track.
Recreating some of these pieces on a new piano was an unusual and transformative experience. Arrowsmith navigated the balance between replicating the original compositions and infusing new elements into the music. This journey allowed him to relive each moment with new light, new emotion, and new feelings, becoming his own listener and reinterpreting past emotions into the recordings we can enjoy today.
