Happy ♥️ Day Who fans! On Valentine's Day 1964 Roger, John, Pete & drummer Doug Sandom evolved from The Detours to become The Who for the first time after reject other names such as The Hair and The No One. This version of lasted only a few months, with the band becoming The High Numbers and Doug leaving to be replaced by Keith Moon.

Who fans have drummer Mick Brown to thank for introducing Pete Townshend to the power of recording. Back in 1961 he recorded him playing a cover of The Shadows "Man of Mystery" and Pete discovered an "extraordinary creative tool".(pictured with Pete is Mick Brown & Peter Wilson)
