While 2015 will mark the first ever East York Music Festival, our festival is, in actuality, more than 6 years old. Originally called the “Lippert Music Festival,” our festival began as a local performance opportunity for students at Lippert Music Centre, a private music school in East York founded in 1957, and has since grown to welcome the public. The continual expansion and development of the

festival has prompted the change of its structure and identity and thus, it is now the East York Music Festival.
