Andre F'n Ethier Further Up Island is out today! This is the final instalment of a trilogy mixed, produced and mastered by Sandro Perri. Fun fact! Over 12 years ago, we approached Andre to do a cassette tape with us (that's what we were doing at the time). Andre had the idea of writing and recording an album to the backdrop of Montreal's Tam-tams, but had no field recording to use. A few months later while in Montreal for a show, we actually went to the Tam-tams on a very hungover Sunday to provide him with the material he needed for this concept. I have no idea what the fidelity was like or why the project never happened, but regardless, it's been a very long, interesting road and we couldn't be more honoured to work with one of the best songwriters this country has ever produced. Please take the time to listen to ALL THREE albums today. It's an incredibly beautiful accomplishment. (vinyl shipping next month).
