🚨 Congressman Al Green Removed from Trump’s Speech Amid Protest 🚨

President Trump’s address to a joint session of Congress on March 4, 2025, was interrupted when Rep. Al Green (D-TX) stood and shouted in protest as Trump celebrated his 2024 election victory. Green, who has represented a Houston district since 2005, was quickly escorted out of the House chamber.

🔹 Why was Rep. Al Green removed?
• As Trump declared the 2024 election a historic mandate, Green stood up, raised his cane, and shouted in opposition.
• House Speaker Mike Johnson warned him multiple times before ordering the Sergeant at Arms to remove him.
• Green later told reporters: “I’m willing to suffer whatever punishment is available to me” and criticized Medicaid cuts.

🔹 Other Democratic Protests
• Some House Democratic women wore pink to protest Trump’s policies affecting women.
• Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) held up a whiteboard reading “Start by paying your taxes” when Trump called for extending the 2017 tax cuts.
• Rep. Melanie Stansbury (D-NM) held a sign saying “This is not normal”, which Rep. Lance Gooden (R-TX) snatched and threw into the air.
• Several Democrats walked out, while some senators and representatives, including AOC, boycotted the speech altogether.

🔹 Trump’s Response
• Trump acknowledged the protests, saying: “I could cure the most devastating disease, and they still wouldn’t clap.”
• He criticized Democrats’ lack of support, calling their actions “very sad”.

🚨 ONTARIO THREATENS TO CUT OFF U.S. ELECTRICITY EXPORTS 🚨

The trade battle between Canada and the U.S. is heating up! 🔥 Ontario Premier Doug Ford has made it clear—if U.S. President Donald Trump moves forward with tariffs against Canada, Ontario will cut off electricity exports to U.S. border states.

💡 Why does this matter?
The U.S. heavily relies on Canadian electricity, especially from Ontario and Quebec. If Ontario follows through with this threat, it could cause major power shortages in states like New York, Michigan, and Minnesota—Ontario’s biggest customers.

📊 Key Facts & Figures:
🔹 The U.S. imported 33 TWh (terawatt hours) of electricity from Canada in 2023.
🔹 Revenue from Canadian electricity sales to the U.S. hit $5.8 billion, an all-time high.
🔹 All U.S. power grids—except for Texas—are interconnected with Canada’s electricity supply.
🔹 Ontario Premier Doug Ford: “If they want to try to annihilate Ontario, I will do everything—including cut off their energy—with a smile on my face.”
🔹 Canada is preparing retaliatory tariffs, with Ford vowing to match the U.S. dollar-for-dollar.

⚠️ What’s happening next?
🔜 Trump’s tariffs are set to take effect Tuesday, March 4, 2025.
🔜 Ford insists Ontario will fight back hard if necessary.
🔜 If electricity exports are cut, U.S. states could face higher energy costs and shortages.

Ford made these statements while speaking at the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) Conference in Toronto on Monday. This trade dispute is just beginning, and its impact on both Canada and the U.S. could be huge.

Starting Tuesday, March 4, 2025, the U.S. will impose 25% tariffs on all Canadian & Mexican goods with no exemptions 🇨🇦⚡️🇺🇸

📌 Key Facts:
🔹 Trump confirmed the tariffs, saying there’s “no room left” for negotiations.
🔹 Canada plans to retaliate with $30B in counter-tariffs, followed by $125B more after 21 days.
🔹 A third wave of tariffs could target critical minerals, energy & government procurement.
🔹 25% tariffs on global steel & aluminum (including Canada) take effect March 12, 2025.

💊 Fentanyl Allegations:
🔸 Trump claims Canada contributes to fentanyl trafficking, but data shows only a tiny fraction comes from Canada (Globe & Mail).

🏭 Auto & Manufacturing Impact:
🔹 U.S. Commerce Secretary says tariffs aim to bring auto jobs back to Michigan & Ohio.

✨ A Historic First: Ramadan Mubarak Sign at Nathan Phillips Square! 🌙

For the first time ever, Nathan Phillips Square is home to a 25-by-8-foot “Ramadan Mubarak” installation, created to celebrate and recognize the growing Muslim community in Toronto. 🏙️🌟

📍 What’s the Story?

🔥 INTENSE WHITE HOUSE SHOWDOWN: ZELENSKYY VS. TRUMP 🔥

Tensions ran high in the Oval Office today as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy left the White House abruptly after a heated exchange with President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance 🇺🇸🇺🇦

📌 Key Moments from the Meeting:
• Trump berated Zelenskyy, calling him “disrespectful” and accusing him of “gambling with World War III.”
• U.S.-Ukraine minerals deal was canceled at the last minute, which would have granted the U.S. greater access to Ukraine’s rare earth minerals 🌍💎
• Zelenskyy warned against trusting Russia’s promises, stating Putin had broken 25 agreements in the past 🤯
• Trump refused to commit to future security guarantees for Ukraine, instead suggesting that the now-canceled minerals deal would “effectively end the war.”
• VP JD Vance told Zelenskyy to ‘just say thank you’ instead of airing grievances in front of the media 🎥
• Trump later posted on social media, saying Zelenskyy “is not ready for peace” and can return “when he is.”

🇺🇦 Zelenskyy’s Mission:
His goal was to ensure continued U.S. support and warn against making concessions to Russia, fearing it could allow Moscow to rearm and launch another invasion later. Instead, the meeting ended in chaos.

🔎 What’s Next?
With the minerals deal off the table and future U.S. support in question, Ukraine’s diplomatic efforts face a major setback. Meanwhile, Trump’s interactions with Putin and his recent private U.S.-Russia talks in Saudi Arabia continue to raise concerns.
