I know I can do things on my own. I always have. But some days, I wish I did not have to.

I wish there was someone who could sit with me in the heaviness, someone who would understand without me having to explain. Someone who would remind me that I do not have to carry everything by myself.

Because even the strongest people get tired. Even the ones who always figure things out sometimes just want to rest in the presence of someone who cares.

A psychology professor said "if you are in love with someone, you won't be interested in someone else.

I think the saddest thing is when you see a woman stay with a man that's not meant for her or doing right by her & he starts sucking the life out of her.

She stops dressing nice, stops wearing makeup & doing her hair, and goes from lively & happy to timid & depressed.

Her whole aura fades from vibrant to meek. Some men are killing beautiful women from the inside out & it's so sad to see.

I pray for every one of my sisters in a toxic relationship & I hope one day you have the energy to leave.

When a man pulls away after a woman opens herself fully to him it often means that he is not ready for the level of responsibility that comes with her trust and opening.

The chase is easy. Everyone can be charismatic, present, or attentive for a short period of time.
But not everyone can sustain that, can take full responsibility for the full opening and trust of a woman.

That takes real strength, warriorship, and maturity.

Please get comfortable with doing things alone. Go to the movies, sit in a coffee shop, walk through a museum, buy yourself a ticket to that concert.

Do not put your life on hold waiting for someone to come with you. Go anyway. Enjoy things for yourself. Make memories that belong to you and you alone.

At 25, I am the woman my 15-year-old self would have felt safe with. The kind of presence she longed for but never knew how to find.

The same woman my 20-year-old self felt intimidated by as if she was standing in a place I was not sure I would ever reach.

And the very woman my 23-year-old self nearly gave up on, convinced she was too far away to become.

Growth is strange like that. You never notice it while it is happening, but one day, you wake up and realize you are someone you used to only dream about.
