It’s not a sign of laziness.
It’s not a sign of me “not doing my job” as a stay at home mom.

It’s a busy life, with four kids, bathrooms after a summer day filled with bubbles and swimming.
It’s running out the door instead of cleaning up to go on our next adventure.
The mess will wait but they will not.
And one of these summers soon there will time to clean. As they run to play with their friends, or hideaway in their rooms.

There will be time. Time when I am not slipping on bath toys as I shower. Time where bubble bath will not sit in a basket.

The bathroom will be cleaner
There will be time.

Life is too short to get irritated at a toddler for being a toddler.
They make messes, they spill things, they yell, they cry, and they push you to your limits, but that's how they are supposed to act.
They are learning how to regulate emotions and use fine motor skills. Encourage them and guide them, don't reprimand them for accidents or outbursts.
It's our job to break the cycle of pointless punishment and emotional trauma.
They are kids, and kids will be KIDS.
