Surrey Celebration Dance Team Dance The SCDT was originally assembled as a joint partnership between the City of Surrey and the Arts Council of Surrey, in hopes to become a legacy project.

Under the direction of Kelly Konno, the team began its artistic journey in celebration of the 2010 Olympics at Holland Park. Our group has now expanded to approximately 25 dancers ages 14-28, and includes everything from tumblers and breakers to hip hopper and ballerina's. The SCDT has continued to be a huge success, since the Surrey Torch Relay and Celebration site stages and has been highlighted

on Breakfast Television, Shaw TV and Global TV. Our team does everything from community events and wedding receptions to large business conventions and grand openings. Much of our success has been built on the ability to adapt to each event we do, creating a celebratory feel for each individual performance. By incorporating several different traditional and urban dance styles together our group reveals the diverse qualities that surrey has to offer.
