UGGGGHH…there’s yet ANOTHER wave of this silly A=432 Hz nonsense making its way around Facebook. And of course, this musical version of the Flat Earth Theory has its devotees who are sure they will always have a full head of hair and never die if they just listen to all music tuned 8 hz (i.e. about a third of a semitone) flat. Of course, we can tune our instruments however we want, and it’s all good. But positing that the ISO standard of A=440 is somehow a N**i thing or a Soviet gulag thing, or that the Ancients somehow knew they were using 432 Hz without access to tuning forks or oscilloscopes or that there is anything significant about the number 432 itself is all complete horse hockey. Please don't give it heed. It’s a huge waste of time and energy. Tune however you like, but don’t get religious about it.
