Meatloaf, Mister and Big Guy⭐️✨🥰
In 2018 I went to the EVSPCA to do a monthly donation. While there I went to look at the cats and was introduced to Meatloaf who is a big orange and white boy. His previous owners tossed him outside. He was battered and bruised when we first met. I continued to visit Meatloaf for about 3 months. The day came when I could no longer leave him there. June 2018 Meatloaf came home to live with us... best move ever.
Three weeks after Meatloaf came home a little black cat appeared at the back door but when I opened the door he ran. So I put some food out back for him and later in the afternoon it was gone. At 7 pm that evening Meatloaf came to sit in front of me and he cried several times. I thought he wanted food but he led me to the back door. Sitting just back from the door was this little black cat. I got some food for him and when I opened the door he ran down the steps but did not run away. From his perch on the bottom step he hissed at me.
I started calling him Mister and he knows that name well now. Since the late Fall of 2018 he has a heated house on my back veranda and he has a heated pad under his food as well. Meatloaf comes to get me or will wake me whenever Mister arrives and sometimes he arrives at 3 or 4 am.
In 2020 Mister brought a pregnant young lady cat with him. She had her kittens outside in September and in early October Mister and

Valkyrie the Brave⭐️✨💪
This is my girl Valkyrie, she will be 4 years old this year,we live on the top of the northern peninsula in a little town called St Lunaire. She is a complete sook to I might add but brave. We got her in Sussex New Brunswick and since the first day we got her she has been our everything, she comforts us when we are sad, warms us when we are cold and is the kindest floof ball. She is also very brave, last spring we had 2 polar bears come up on our back deck last year and try to get in our house, she was out in the deck at the time. She stood up to them and wouldn’t let them in, and I’m out there with my shorts on at 630am trying to drag her back in the house, all I was thinking was if she falls into them they are going to kill her and I’m gonna die with my underwear on fist fighting 2 polar bears, but would be quite the story on my headstone though lol
Newfie dies fighting polar bears bare handed in his underwear avenging his beloved dog
Epic lol
She is our everything, our protector, our friend, our family. And we wouldn’t know what we would do without her in our life now.

Remi's Gift⭐️✨🎁
We are a family of 3 living in Gander, NL. In 2016, we lost our cat of 16 years. We had no intentions of getting another pet right away. However, I was just browsing on NL Classifieds and found a family was looking to re-home a purebred black Labrador Retriever. I messaged the family and asked if he was certified as a purebred. I was told that he was born with a birth defect - a cleft palate. He was a healthy and happy boy and never had any surgery to repair this defect. He drinks his water a little different than a normal dog and sometimes sneezes if food makes its way up into his palate.
Our reason for snatching up this handsome boy was mostly related to the fact that he had something in common with my husband and daughter as they were both born with bilateral cleft lip/palate. They have both undergone multiple surgeries and have adapted in their own ways to their facial differences.
We felt it was fate to bring Remi into our home. He is now 10 years old and is such a good boy. He is loved by everyone who meets him.
