I had a call today with someone who could have been labeled a “business partner”—but honestly, I see it as so much more than that.

Another morning run arguing with myself…🙈🙈 it feels so good once it’s done but going through it? The self talk is real! Today I added an extra 3k to the run today so it was extra hard and I’m sure I’ll be feeling it tomorrow but thinking of the good I’ve done for myself rather than listening to the lazy-ass complainer in the back of my head gives me hope to I’m on the right track back to getting in the fantastic shape I was in a few years back! Rebuilding a habit is hard!!

When I first decided that an online business was the right choice for me I was so excited I could burst!💥

I was giddy, dreaming about the bold new future I had just stepped toward. I was high just thinking about the new commitment I had made with myself and all the new skills I'd be learning.

I had never owned a business before, let alone ever had any jobs that allowed me to work from home before - I was psyched!

But alongside all that excitement, fear crept in too—big, overwhelming fear.

Was I in the right place? Was it trustworthy? What if I fail?

These thoughts would swim around in my head and I'd do my best to reason with them.

I had played it safe for 7 years- doing the "right thing" diligently working in luxury retail, a world I tried so hard to fit into but eventually left me feeling passionless and underappreciated.

Above all I was sacrificing my precious time away from my family and missing being there for my kids.

As I analyzed my feelings I realized that fear is a part of the growing process. I learned to see it for what it is. An emotion build to protect me from harm. Fear can protect us, but it can also hold us back if we let it.

As the saying goes - nothing changes if nothing changes.

So after years spent trading time for a paycheck I decided to choose myself, let fear take a rest to trust myself and step into the unknown, to build something better.

Now, I’m more present for my family, learning every day, and—most importantly—loving what I do. Feeling stuck? That’s just a memory now.

Tuesday = Team Meeting Night! 🎉🤩

Every Tuesday, without fail, I meet with my fellow business partners for our weekly team meeting. We take turns presenting topics that help us grow—not just in business, but in life!

Last week, we dived into Emotional Intelligence—a subject I hold close to my heart and strive to apply in all areas of my life: business, home, and socially speaking.

Last night’s discussion was all about habits—how we form them, break them, and the science behind it, inspired by the book Atomic Habits by James Clear.

As humans, we are creatures of habit—some serve us well, others… not so much!

My key takeaways:

✅ Small changes = big results – Just 1% improvement daily compounds over time.

✅ Identity-based habits – Focus on who you want to become, not just what you want to do.

✅ The Four Laws of Behavior Change:

When I started to search online for something to do that could give me flexibility I had no idea what I was looking for.

It was so overwhelming!! 😱

I thought I’d need a product and a business plan.

I had no idea about either but I still kept searching hoping to find that special thing that would permit me to work from home to be present for my family and so many more reasons I can’t count!!
