Was out today for a snowshoe hike with the on Muir Lake testing out the sleds they built. Weather was perfect, cold but with the sun warming us as we walked across the lake.

Had an opportunity to show the kids that animals other than those that walk leave prints, and if you take the time, can read the story of what happened.

Decided to spent Thanksgiving out solo . in, I didn’t want the weight of a chair, so I made one using only tools. A Hudson’s Bay tomahawk, Grohmann No.1 knife, settler’s wrench and a saw. Only part that was lashed was the chair back. Remember, adventure is where you find it!

Spent a wonderful weekend out in the bush with some amazing friends and fellow , prepping a site for a survival camp with the Scouts. It was a weekend of hard work, fun times, and working on bushcraft skills!

Out teaching snowshoeing to the Cubs. It’s always nice to share the quiet winter woods with them. I can only hope it ignites the same passion for the outdoors that burns in me.

Crown land camping in beautiful ! Visited by a deer and a fox, it was an amazing trip!

Some adventures are not meant to be filmed, but lived. Spend some time with those you love, and get those kids outside, experiencing life away from screens. We may not have caught anything, but she wants to go again, and got some quality time with her Dad.
