The day that changed the world, so many lives taken. As you reflect today, whether your civilian, first responder, military, or anything in between, remember. Remember the sacrifice made, the pain, but also don’t forget the fight. The fight to hope, fight to persevere, and believe that humanity will never see another tragedy like this again.

Today we remember everyone. Burn hope and bravery in our hearts that burns brighter, and hotter than any fire or amount of hate ever could.

Jared is a Public Education Rep for his station in Navan, as well as being an active suppression firefighter. He’s a fiercely loyal friend, family man, and firefighter, and loves Navan. It was an absolute blast having him on the show, with a unique small town perspective on firefighting.

Introducing..... YOUR HOSTS!!!!

Let’s start off with the show’s anchor, the great and powerful Mr. Wade Wallace!

Wade is the spearhead of this operation and truly pours all his passion and expertise in to every last detail of this show. Currently, Wade is an active suppression firefighter with the City of Ottawa and currently holds the rank of Lieutenant. Wade is a huge advocate for mental health, unity amongst the ranks, and also is on the OFS Peer Support team, and his contributions have earned him 2 Humanitarian Awards, as well as FF of the Year Award in his rookie year.

Brandon is the co-host of this podcast, and brings a unique perspective and rawness to the mix. Currently, Brandon is an active suppression firefighter with the City of Ottawa, and is a “Black Hat” or standard rank FF. Brandon also has a heart for mental health, and is currently in training for OFS Peer Support as well as being his station’s Public Education Coordinator. Brandon has had experience in the Canadian Forces Reserves as an Infantry Corporal, with the Cameron Highlanders of Ottawa for nearly 10 years.

We can’t wait to share this amazing experience we’ve had so far with this podcast with you guys, and it’s only just beginning!!

Just wanted to take a minute to welcome you all to From The Floor Podcast!!!!

From the Floor is all about creating a safe space for all First Responders, Military, Health Care and everyone in between! It’s a forum where everyone can come and listen in on the topics and challenges that face each of us everyday on the fire ground and beyond.

Our guests will be predominantly firefighters, BUT!! We WILL have more episodes with guest speakers from Police, EMS, Military as well as our brothers and sisters in all facets of Health Care. On this podcast, we have a very raw, honest and open format, we aim to deliver the topics and discussion that YOU, the listener, also want to hear.
