Patricia Gomez Zlatar left a budding career as a scientist in order to pursue her true calling—writing and producing horror films.

Part of her accomplishments includes co-writing Slaxx, a film about a possessed pair of jeans brought to life to punish the unscrupulous practices of a trendy clothing company. For Montrealers, you can catch Slaxx at the Cinémathèque québecoise on Sunday, July 9th @ 6 pm.

In 2020, Mike Gagnon, then a 72-years-young athlete, was busy participating in Spartan races and working out regularly at his local Crossfit gym. When the gyms shut their doors during the pandemic, Mike undaunted converted his garage into a gym and carried on. This month marks his return to competing with the 10K Spartan Super he completed last week.
