Many of us have dreams and visions of moving forward and excelling in life. Yet, those dreams often seem delayed or unattainable. Could it be that the human conduit—someone divinely positioned to partner with God for your lifting—has been dishonored, thereby closing a crucial door?
Let me challenge you to try something this week. Tomorrow is Monday, and as work resumes, take it upon yourself to demonstrate honor intentionally. Here’s an idea:
Find something simple, maybe a bottle of wine or any meaningful token of appreciation. If you have access to your boss or leader, approach them and say, “Good day, sir/ma’am. I just wanted to express my gratitude. Thank you for the opportunity to work here over the years. I’ve learned so much and grown tremendously. I was recently taught about the value of honor and want to practice what I’ve learned. This is simply my way of saying thank you.”
Now, let me tell you what’s likely to happen. Initially, your boss might respond with something like, “Alright, alright. Thank you. You can go now.” However, make no mistake: no human being is immune to honor. Deep inside, your gesture will leave a lasting impression.
Perhaps on that very table, your boss is deciding who to promote or appoint to a new position. That simple act of honor could place your name in their mind. Your certificate or qualifications may get you a job, but honor will guide your promotion.
Don’t underestimate the power of honor—it is a divine principle that opens doors no man can shut. Why not take up this challenge and see how it transforms your path?
