Not to brag but to encourage/ remind/ inspire everyone or maybe some to stock up on their necessities. I just thought this might be the best time to share this.
I am a prepper (not the extreme type 🫣). Kahit sa Pinas ginagawa ko na 'to and yes it is possible. Yung mga anak ko ang naging push ko to do this, and thankfully meron akong supportive na asawa na tinutulungan akong magawa 'tong mga 'to ❤️ Ang hirap kase nung pag kelangan mo wala kang makuha, or kung may pambili ka man hindi ka naman makalabas para bumili. Blessed enough, never namin naranasan na bahain. Grateful kami sa parents namin ni Ron na yung kinalakihan namin na lugar ay never binaha, even nung Ondoy. Never man namin naranasan, but we chose to be ready and prepared, for our kids...
I stored some of our food items sa vacuum sealed bags which will extend the shelf life for upto 2 years after expiration. Some are stored in mylar bags with oxygen absorber which will extend the shelf life of the food for 10 to 25 years. Some are in vacuum sealed mason jars, to extend the shelf life for upto 2 years after expiration date.
Hindi lang food ang may stock kami, we also have water filters, toiletries and laundry needs, disposable spoon, fork, plates and cups, and medical needs. Nasa ibang cabinet yung supply namin ng candles, batteries, duct tapes, ropes and other emergency and camping needs, hindi ko na nakodakan at pagod na ako 😅 Again, I am not bragging, gusto ko lang i-share na posible maging prepared kahit paunti-unti lang. If we can invest on material things that are not necessary, we can also find ways to prepare for our family. We should all be ready (somehow) when SHTF.
Ps: Hindi lang pang calamity itong pags-stock ng mga necessities, big help din 'to sa mga unexpected na pangyayari, say for example nawalan ng trabaho ang head of the family. Mas maganda yung may madudukot pag kelangan.
Praying for our family and friends in Pinas, I pray that you are all safe, dry and warm 🙏
