Broadcasting on CJAI 92.1 FM Amherst Island Radio, and worldwide over the interweb weekly on Saturday nights from 7 - 10 pm with your hosts Chris G and Mike The Wonderdog.
The Saturday Night Barn Burner features lesser known and up and coming artist that would not normally get airplay in the corporate world of radio. There is an overwhelming amount of amazing musical talent out there just waiting to be heard, and this show will give you a taste of some of it for sure. If your style of music has the word “Rock” in it, we’ll play it. Example: Hard Rock, Folk Rock, Country Rock, Blues Rock, Rockabilly, Christian Rock, Jazz Rock....ok, now I’m just making them up. But you get the drift, Right?
It will also feature lesser known and, maybe, never aired tunes by popular bands as well. Not just the “B” sides, but a deep into the catalogue look. I guarantee that you’ll hear something that you’ve never heard before, but will want to hear again
If you are a Band or Solo Artist, you can send your studio quality, radio playable CD to Amherst Island Radio to the attention of Chris G or The Saturday Night Barn Burner. I promise to give your hard work a listen and make every attempt to play at least one song from your project. That would be the least I could do. Be sure to include a short “Bio”. Include the names of the members, where you are from, the type of music, and a contact email address. Preferably a note size item that we can keep inside the CD case for future reference.
