In this 2 part episode you get a front row seat to the event that happened here in Kelowna, hosted by Torva & an amazing catch up afterward!

On Oct 19th, at the Rotary Center in Downtown Kelowna an event called “Fleeing Canada to save her Life - an evening with Torva Logan“ took place & we were able to capture the whole thing, even including the questions in house and online.

Torva takes us through her journey from start to now, her hopes for the future & scary stats all Canadians should be aware of.

Guiding us through her presentation of heavy personal experiences, others equally worrisome experiences and her hopes for Canadian healthcare’s future.

At 1:09 ish, we jump back into the studio and we chat about her time here with me, her return to the country/province she’s been medically exiled from and how her life has been the past 6 months in Texas.

Naturally we s**t talk the gov and share some pretty beautiful moments on our visit.

Babessssssss 🥰

Tomorrow’s episode is a super special episode because not only do we get to catch up with BUTTTT the first half of the show is her event she held here while visiting Kelowna!

Just a month ago Torva held an event here in Kelowna sharing her story from start to present day, took questions in person and online and I got it all!!

Then we catch back up and share how that felt to come back to the province she nearly died in twice.

The country that was supposed to be the roots they were building with her husband and daughter but as most of you know, Canada just cannot support her medically as she keeps her cancer at bay.

Everyone likes to scream free healthcare but A it’s not free and B the system is an absolute s**t show.

People are fleeing more than you’d like to think.

And no one is really talking about it.

Why?!?

This should be at the top of everyone’s mind because everyone will be affected by it at some point.

So grateful for her and others like her who have been through it and sounding the alarms when they do not have too.

They are yelling for support yet those healthy remain silent.

Time to start squawking babes. Time to sound the alarm.

The government works for us remember?!

At first I was like WOW I was truly the bad kid in this duo but came in clutch and reminded me we were both baddies 😂

I feel like there were two camps growing up.

Drinkers and tokers 🍻 vs 💨

Very rare to do both hardcore but there are some creatures who can. Praying for your liver queens 😂

But it’s so interesting to me how we all grow and involve in our drug experience stories.

For D, her father threatened her life if she came home high so she went with booze.

For me, my father was a stoner (and a drunk) so I went with w**d because I preferred the person he was high over drunk and if I had to pick and addiction, w**d was better to me.

There were also the parents who partied with us (looking back now that’s weird af) and the parents who were there to pick you up but also lay the truth out.

Shout out to the mom who possibly have D the best advice nugget she could have got… which a lot of us needed to hear… the mom who told you you were in a path and you need to course correct.

Do what you feel is right as parents but really check yourself if you are keeping them safe of enabling them.

BIG DIFFERENCE!!

CUZ THEY DON’T TRUST THE CURRENT SYSTEM!

Wild to me that HC can just shut people down so harshly when they are offering alternatives to Canadians like 🫶🏻

We should get a choice. PERIOD.

Back in our time, I don’t think as many heavy and pharmaceutical drugs were at the same height they are now.

While some teens did heavier drugs for sure, most of us were just smoking w**d and drinking.

Now you got 13 years old on pharmaceutical m**h essentially and safe supply here in BC.

So what was it like in our teens and 20’s?

How did we bounce back from the party life that we both got heavily hooked into?

Just so we are clear here.

We can laugh about our experiences now because we are healed from these behaviours but that’s the beauty of healing isn’t it?

Not getting triggered or ashamed of our past experiences because that’s what formed who we are today.

We can have empathy for others cuz we’ve been there too.

Although it may look different to everyone, addiction is heavy. Whether that’s booze or pharma pills or rec drugs, this s**t is no joke.

But recovery is possible 🥰

And we are right here with you if you ever need to talk!

In today’s episode I’m taking a break from PDFs and criminal and focusing on som**hing that SHOULD have been criminal!!

Over 20 years later, we are hearing some insane stories from ANTM contestants that leave you wondering how we even though this was entertainment!

It also shows how even “reality” tv isn’t real 😂 like we knew this but at the time I don’t think we grasped what that meant!

Now we know… they didn’t get as much as they were promised… some got sexually assaulted…. Some had their religious views held against them… on top of telling nearly anorexic women they were fat…. On top of the continual verbal abuse from the judges they also had to do the wildest things in the name of fashion…

So join me today as I try to heal a deep wound as a millennial 😂

Ok so as mentioned my Halloween adventure had me looking at situations on Reddit and wondering wtf would I do in those situations!

Like this one.

Mom has one version of the story where she comes off the hero kind of and the daughter remembers it going differently.

Very differently.

It made me wonder how many situations arise like this where a parent remembers a funny memorable Halloween but the kid was dying on the inside.

In today’s episode I chat about three different stories, all different but also important.

I started with a follow up from a missing kids case from earlier in May 2025 that has yet to be solved. Lilly and Jack are still no where to be seen, even after cadaver dogs went to the last place they were seen… nothing!?!

Please keep your eyes out everyone, not just Canadians!

Secondly, we talk about the concern there should be had around the MAiD program and the ethics surrounding it. End of life care is one thing, mental health and mindful minors is where most Canadians say HOLD ON yet it may not matter after 2027, this could be law.

And that’s terrifying and a slippery slope.

Finally I talk about the odd ruling coming out of the Supreme Court of Canada voting against a mandatory 1 year prison sentence for those caught with child 🌽. I’m sorry that’s a no for me dawg.
