A year ago this week we lost Matthew Perry, ten years ago, Robin Williams; both comedians made us laugh and cry. Each had mental health issues, coped with meds and both lost their battles in different ways. How many others, not so funny, famous, or rich, face the same struggles and will win or lose their battles, every day?

Someone ends their life in this world every 45 seconds. Millions more die of overdoses and addiction, both accidental or on purpose. Others choose to leave in less obvious ways, "death by vehicle, cop, needle, bottle, pills, poverty or drowning". Few listen, and fewer even care. Do you?

If someone WAS drowning, would you jump in and save them, or stand by and watch them die? Mental illness IS drowning, recognize it!

Sadly, most STILL ignore the signs, and the struggles and are SO consumed with their own daily lives, goals, and careers, that they are immune to the needs of others. I believe there are billions of people SO desensitized by the hurt, pain, and need of others, they are now immune to the struggles others go through. Social media offers light, funny, and positive images and videos, why bother with the negative s**t people go through?

Want proof? Funny cat videos get more views than su***de prevention videos—golf tips, road rage, or how to build a Lego or Fortnight castle. Vanity posts with endless selfies on social media, often disguised as "branding" on LinkedIn and Facebook, get more likes than a post about a woman murdered by her partner.

As an online community, and a business platform. we SUCK at helping and caring for others to be honest. I see it daily on Facebook and elsewhere. People write to me daily to say "they support" what we do, but in reality, they confuse support with admiration; two different things.

Unless and until we care more about others, than we do about our own lives, we will never change. Men will still beat, abuse, and kill women and children because our laws do not fully protect them. Laws written and carried by mostly male politicians, cops, guards, and judges, it is in our DNA.

People like Matthew and Robin and millions of others will die alone; their last thoughts, wondering, why no one truly cared enough to help when they had the chance. Who do YOU know, today, who needs your help? Reach out, call, or visit them. NOW!

When you are done, please see our projects, such as these two on bringing awareness to su***de prevention. True, not as funny as a cat video, but more important to you and the lives of those you know and love.

I know! I WAS there! I WAS suicidal. I discovered a tool to keep myself alive, so I could share it with others. See it here.

The three monkeys (individuals, companies, and governments) show how abuse to women and children is viewed. Military spending, to kill people, outpaces mental health care spending, to save people, in all countries! Why? Because wars and weapons drive economies, and create jobs, income, wealth, and power for people, mostly men. Men and countries are addicted to that power.

It is the same thirst for power that drives men to harm, control, and overpower women and children. It is in men's DNA from thousands of years of killing each other, but over 99% of all deaths of women in domestic abusive and s*xual assault cases occur from MEN harming women, (with women killing other women making up the other 1%). The day a man harms a woman or child, he is no longer a man. In court, custody battles nearly 1,000 children have died this past year. Over 70% of those by their father!

Attention and funding are needed for mental health, counseling, protection of the vulnerable, and other tools to not only prevent abuse but punish those who harm others. Stiffer laws and stronger, longer sentences need to be implemented. Many of these men who harm or kill women and children are repeat offenders. If men faced the death penalty for killing a woman or child, or even other men, they would stop doing so, one way or the other! The problem is, most judges are MEN protecting other men!

WHEN will we learn, as a nation, as companies and corporations, in Hollywood and the shows and films we produce, as well as individuals, to STOP being these three monkeys in society?

The three wise monkeys are a Japanese pictorial maxim, embodying the proverbial principle "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil". To me, they represent individuals, companies, and governments, and all are equally responsible for helping find solutions.

For the most part, men ignore these issues more than women, but having written to over 10,000 men AND women in the last six months only FIVE felt strongly enough about these issues to become a co-host or sponsor. That is appalling and speaks volumes about how much issues to protect women and children are simply not a priority or changes would be made!

Many men and women own companies and businesses, but few added their name as an advertiser to a campaign to help save women and children.

My question is this. If individuals, governments, and companies do not want to help protect women by standing with others who do, which of the three monkeys best describes them?

I just got a reply from a celebrity in Los Angeles who said she cannot afford to support these programs. Her bio photos show her wearing a Rolex watch, to impress the world with her wealth. As my father said, "What you do speaks so loudly, I cannot hear what you say".

Unless and until protecting women and children becomes a higher priority, many more will die.

Help us help them. See our website here. HelpUsSaveLives.com

What's a smile worth? My son was six CENTS short at the store on a $25 purchase! A kind woman paid the dime with a smile. A dime isn't much unless you're locked out of a pay toilet and don't have one. A quarter is priceless when you're at a payphone and need to call for a cab and your cell dies (assuming you can FIND a payphone!).

What is a smile and a, "How you doing today?" worth? Priceless. A man quietly walked two miles from his apartment to the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco and jumped to his death. In his apartment, the police found this note; "Today I am walking to jump off the Golden Gate Bridge but if ONE person smiles at me, or says "Hello" or even nods to acknowledge me along the way, I will turn around and come home". Sadly, no one did, and he died.

Look at the faces of these five people. Every one of them took their own life. They brought joy, happiness, and hope to millions of people, but inside, there was not enough to sustain their lives.

We make emotional decisions and justify them with the logic needed. When someone takes their own life, their emotional feelings of despair overrule the logic to continue living. An iceberg in a sea of hopelessness; the massive amount of pain beneath the surface dwarfs what others see above the surface.

Many people are suffering from anxiety, poverty, depression, despair, homelessness, or addiction. Often those in abusive relationships want their pain to end MORE than want the conditions to improve, and they give up hope or desire to live any longer.

We address these issues in this video, where we address the underlying factors that contribute to su***de and more importantly, ideas and tools to help identify solutions.

10/22/2024

If heart disease is a 'silent killer' then depression is the 'silent tsunami' that destroys lives. Depression can spiral into su***de and domestic violence. Ironically sports events like soccer, NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, and other games cause a spike in domestic violence when a favorite team loses! When you add online gambling, which is exploding now with massive promotion, these issues can lead to many forms of addiction, poverty, and a loss of income, which also leads to even more depression and mental health challenges in life.

The correlation is documented and instances of domestic violence, abuse, and even murder rise by 10%-50% after such games are played. Even video games that depict these events and simulations can lead to aggressive behavior in teens and adults. This often leads to even more violent behavior, which left unchecked, can also lead to anxiety and depression.

As in any walk of life, when anticipation, hope, and desire are clouded by despair, disappointment, and anger, depression soon follows.

When you mix depression, anger, frustration, AND alcohol or drugs, that is a dangerous combination, yet it occurs every day, somewhere around the world. These can often lead to other issues, such as addiction, divorce, homelessness, and other forms of abuse and harm to individuals and others.

This link shows a study that verifies a rise of nearly 36% of domestic violence in Scotland during soccer league matches, and even higher, over 40% increase of calls during the Grey Cup in Canada! Many fans assault each other and in some instances, deaths occur at sporting matches when you combine anger, alcohol, and mob mentality. When others suffer in silence, they take their anger out on their families, workers, partners, and even their children.

See the study here (https://acws.ca/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/ACWS-Guide-Domestic-Violence-Awareness-Campaigns-and-Major-Cultural-and-Sporting-Events.pdf)

10/19/2024

Minutes matter! If someone was drowning would you save their life or let them drown? Would you sponsor swimming lessons for them? Mental 'drowning' leads to su***de or a lifetime of depression and anxiety. Is that any LESS important than physically drowning?

Every 45 seconds around the world, someone IS drowning and decides to end their life. Every 45 seconds someone leaves this earth, causing immense and life-long trauma for every one of their family, friends, AND descendants who follow them. They all must live with that grief and loss, for their lifetime, and generations to follow.

Many times, the su***de of one person causes the su***de of OTHER people, who cannot bear the pain. That happened in our city to a friend who lost one son to su***de, and then not long after, his brother took his own life, leaving that man without any children at all.

Often addiction is a RESULT of underlying pain and the lack of coping skills. Mass shootings are often linked to previous domestic abuse and violence in the home when that shooter was growing up.

Domestic abuse and violence are often a result of someone not being able to control their anger and they take it out on helpless women and children. Every six days a woman is killed by her partner! Nearly 1,000 kids have been killed this year by their own parents during domestic custody battles, and 71% of them were killed by their own fathers!

Alcoholism, addiction, poverty, and abuse go hand in hand in many relationships and households around the world. The result is often the death of men, women, and children. The tools to COPE are the 'swimming lessons" someone needs to change their life and behavior.
Many times this combination also leads to homelessness.

We identify the ROOT causes of these issues and try to shed light on the tools to help solve them. You can help US solve them with your support!

We have created a platform to help save lives. It involves documentaries, public service announcements (PSAs), digital magazines, TV shows, and soon feature films, all dedicated to saving and enhancing lives.

These include su***de awareness and prevention, ending addiction, bullying, domestic violence, abuse, and assault, as well as reducing s*xual assault to women and children, regardless of race, region, religion, or s*xual identity.

Your minutes matter to us. Please take a couple of minutes to visit our website. If these topics resonate with you, please support our platforms by adding your name to the end credits of these episodes.

We thank you in advance and would appreciate it if you reposted this message so we can reach more people worldwide.

I was asked why I created the TV drama, "Dad Downstairs." For money, entertainment, fortune, or fame? Nope! Money ensures capital to continue presenting ideas to others. Entertainment is a vehicle. Fortune and fame have no meaning to me, with no intent for either.

No, my main goal is to save future marriages, help save lives, for couples and their children; heal from the trauma of divorce, and use the TV show as a platform to show their lessons and journey. Divorce causes suffering and sometimes death. In the US over 980 children were killed by their family members (71% by their fathers) during court-ordered custody battles!

Many single parents, in every country in the world, are trying hard to survive tough economic conditions. They must learn to communicate BETTER after their marriage ends, than when they were married, for the sake of their children.

The entertainment industry is at a crossroads; either "hope and pray," or "innovate and create". We choose the latter! Our family drama, "Dad Downstairs," is truly innovative. We portray the love of two divorced parents for their children, with the backdrop of the drama and trauma the cast finds itself in. When family ideals and opinions collide this creates friction, uncertainty, and conflict, those "real-life situations" can create compelling episodes.

Every episode in every city will explore teenage issues like eating disorders, skipping school, dealing with bullying, su***de, deciding on drugs, alcohol, s*xual boundaries, and identity. Those are just the teens! Imagine being a suddenly single parent, trying to navigate the sudden dating scene, only to have your EX watching (and listening) to your every move, from the duplexes where you both live!

Yes, the episodes WILL entertain AND earn money, as a natural by-product of our goal to help save lives. There are many reasons our show is unique and worth consideration for your city or country.

I'm sharing the concept of the show AND 90% of the revenue in your market, with qualified Executive Producers who want to create an iconic TV show to tell the stories of millions of parents and teens.

Join our journey, or better yet, become an Executive Producer in YOUR city and carve out your own destiny, one episode at a time.

We're seeking those with capital, ideas, and qualifications to present "Dad Downstairs" to markets worldwide. We offer a unique license agreement arrangement, with a one-time license fee, allowing you to film this show in your market, edit, translate, and distribute it worldwide. We also partner with you in distribution to help each EP in all markets. We then split future revenue on a 90/10 basis, with 90% going to you, as the EP in that area.

I believe domestic violence, assault, and abuse against women and children are a major threat to our society. We produce docs and TV shows to help keep women and children safe; they deserve our support.

No woman or child should live in fear of a man, or men, regardless of their race, religion, beliefs, s*xual preference or identity, country of residence, persecution, s*x slavery or trafficking, entrapment, financial or custody extorsion, or any other reason. Safety at home, school, or work should be assumed, not in danger or threatened!

Abuse and violence against women cause poverty, depression, mental health issues, anxiety, su***de, and femicide. EVERY case is preventable. Unless and until men are held accountable, and change their attitude and objectification of women, nothing will change! There is NO excuse to ever abuse, assault, harm, mistreat, disrespect, or murder a woman or child. NONE!

Our documentaries and TV shows raise awareness and provide solutions for these issues worldwide. We invite you to join us.

Many TV, doc, and film producers sidestep the "woke" vs "non-woke" community issue, and will not take a stance, even if you ask them! That's a shame! You either DO believe in diversity and equal rights for all, or you don't. It is like being pregnant, either you are or you aren't, and there is no middle ground! Period.

I believe 'woke' stands for "I woke up and realized much of what I was taught, or believed, was wrong, racist, demeaning, and promoted violence and hatred".

I will go on record saying ALL of our projects; films, documentaries, and TV shows promote equality for all people, regardless of race, s*x, religious beliefs, nationality, or s*xual preference. We are ALL equal in the eyes of God, it is just that some feel they are "more equal than others".

These projects include Dad Downstairs, Help Us Save Lives, and Miracle for Millions TV shows, as well as six upcoming feature films, and our platform for short films, Five Minute Movie.com. You can see all of these on our main website, which is HandcraftFilm.com

I hope you will support our efforts as a sponsor, co-host, advertiser, or partner in some manner. The links are all on our website to do so.

If you agree with this stance and want to support our TV shows, documentaries, and projects to help save lives, keep women and children safe, stop bullying, and end homelessness, addiction, abuse, and violence against all people, welcome!

If not, please go your own way in life, remove our connection, and even block me if you wish, but you are not welcome at my campfire in life, OR in our projects.

Our reaction to money, "success" and especially disasters is inverted! Hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, wildfires, and floods are 'natural disasters' and these annually kill many people worldwide. They're seldom considered "man-made disasters" however, domestic violence is! So are su***de, s*xual assault, addiction, bullying, poverty, mental illness, femicide, homelessness, and abuse to seniors, men, women, and children. As a society, we focus more on the 'natural disasters' than those we heap on ourselves and others. I am trying to bring more focus on how we treat each other and make this a safer world.

I've personally seen the result of su***de, domestic violence, addiction, and other challenges we face, and I feel more needs to be done to raise awareness and find solutions to these issues.

I founded Handcraft Film as a media production company for the Help Us Save Lives, Dad Downstairs, Miracle for Millions TV shows, Five Minute Movie platform, films, and other projects, ALL to help humanity. You can see those projects at HandcraftFilm.com for more information about each one.

I hope you will take the time to look at the projects and add your name as a sponsor to support our projects to help save lives and make this a safer world for everyone. We provide solutions, discussions, and ideas to solve these issues. I hope you will join us as a co-host, sponsor, or advertiser.

With great relief and joy, my best friend, Shahrzad Akhiani in Iran was able to see, speak to, and hold her mother now that she is out of her coma and out of intensive care. She was in a coma and unconscious for about 10 days and now can sit up, speak, and talk to her daughter. Thank God for this miracle, and the hundreds of people on LinkedIn and Facebook, and in our home, who have kept her in our prayers daily. We hope for a full recovery and look forward to the day Shahrzad and her mother can go home from the hospital.
