DISCLAIMER: This is an idea that was used in the past year. Stepping out of your comfort zone seems to be the key to moving forward in any career. I was struggling to sell my photo and video services. Most people I met were looking for website design or social media services. Both of those things involved photo and video, so I decided to rebrand and offer those services. Whether I could do them myself or get help, it brought in a whole other level of clients. In this video, I break down how I did it. This is only an idea, and every change offers its own challenges. This is no different. I also talk about quoting out work. Episode 2 of Spitballen: Tips and tricks on how photographers can make a few extra bucks over the holidays. First of four episodes on this. Holidays for creatives can be a stressful time due to a lack of direct income resulting from people vacationing and or company shutting down till the New Year. Nevermind all the extra expenses that go along with it. So, I'm going to reference a few people. First up is Brandon Hart, who has been doing this right with fun creative Chriuatmas family portrait shoots. It's not about overthinking; it's about executing and putting a couple of extra bucks in your pocket, all while getting your brand out there and thinking outside the box. And damn, could I ramble, lol.
