InQueery #25 - Transgender Day of Visibility
March 31st is Transgender Day of Visibility, a day to recognize, honour, and celebrate transgender people everywhere. This day is an opportunity to spread awareness and educate people on the transgender community, their experiences, and the issues they face. It is also a day to recognize and celebrate the accomplishments of transgender individuals and their allies.
The trans community has made significant strides in recent years, including passing more inclusive laws and increasing visibility of transgender celebrities and activists. However, the transgender community still faces many challenges. Trans people are disproportionately impacted by violence, discrimination, and poverty. In addition, they often lack access to necessary healthcare and face employment discrimination.
This Transgender Day of Visibility is a time to honour the transgender community and raise awareness of the issues they face. Letās use this day to listen to and amplify transgender voices, support transgender-led organizations, and work towards creating a world where everyone can live authentically and without fear.

It is an honour to be the recipient for such a heartwarming award. It takes bravery and courage to share your truth, and this couldnāt have happened without the amazing humans who interviewed with me for InQueery. Thank you so much to @saltwirehalifax for providing the platform to share these stories and continuing to be an active ally to the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. ā¤ļøšš»š„¹
