I am truly lucky to be a part of this industry. The work our government is doing to grow the already amazing film industry in Nova Scotia is truly incredible.

ANNOUNCEMENT: Nova Scotia Government Invests in Film Industry Growth.

The government is investing $23 million to help the film industry grow sustainably and generate economic activity year-round. In a joint press conference this morning with Screen Nova Scotia, Premier Tim Houston announced two investments to support the industry:

- $8 million toward a soundstage that will increase the industry’s capacity, create more jobs and allow productions to continue year-round.
- $15 million for a new Nova Scotia Content Creator Fund that will support local film and television productions.

CHRISTMAS MOVIE. Yes Die Hard is a Christmas movie and number 8 at that. More importantly, the constant debate around its classification is just another excuse to watch this Gem of a movie every single year. Yippee ki yay Christmas Movie Lovers.

Movie number seven on the Parker PR 12 Days of Christmas Movies is Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. Another character that appears to be written just for Robert Downey Jr. Two-bit crook Harry Lockhart, ends up in Hollywood in the most unlikely of ways.

Movie Six coming your way, courtesy of the Parker PR 12 Days of Christmas Movies. "When love feels like magic, it is called destiny; when destiny has a sense of humor, it is serendipity." A movie summed up in one perfect quote.

Yes there are about a dozen Romantic Christmas movies set in New York, but this is one of the best. Released in 2001, if you haven't seen this movie yet, add it to the list and watch it with the family.

Movie number Five! Steve Marin and John Candy are beyond enjoyable in this movie. Full of laughs and great moments, Planes Trains and Automobiles is a great addition to your Christmas watch list.

Movie number Four on the Parker PR 12 Days of Christmas is a yearly tradition in my household. My family and I love this movie so much that we could just about recite every line from this film.

There's not much more I need to say about this film, you just have to watch it. You and your family will be on the floor laughing through the entire 1 hour and 36 minute runtime.

Movie number 3 of the Parker PR 12 Days of Christmas movies list is Lethal Weapon. An all time classic buddy cop movie, Lethal Weapon is one of the best I'm the genre. Lucky for you, it's also set around Christmas, making it an addition to this list and the perfect excuse to watch it this December.

The 2nd movie on the Parker PR 12 Days of Christmas list is one of my all time favourites. Jack Frost is about an aging musician, played by Michael Keaton, who gets another chance to make things right with his family after tragedy strikes. Warning to all, this movie is a Grade A tear jerker. If you've never seen Jack Frost, or have been deterred by the criminally low Rotten Tomatoes score, add it to your list now and give it a watch.

Celebrate your 12 Days of Christmas the right way. Yes it is a Christmas movie and yes Die Hard may make an appearance on this list too. These twelve movies might not be the tradition Christmas movie, but they are Christmas movies that you have to see.
