Ian MacInnis is a graduate of Sheridan College’s Craft and Design Glass Program and the recipient of the Nortel Flameworking Award, the Glen Williams Glassblowing Award and the Bonnie Block Memorial Award. His journey into the glass making world began with a trip to New York’s Corning Museum of Glass in the fall of 2011.After completing his advanced diploma at Sheridan College, Ian has continued

to build his professional practice. His work is inspired by television shows and video games from his childhood and his hope is to give people a sense of escaping reality to a place they once knew. Currently Ian is collaborating and assisting other glass makers at the Living Arts Centre in Mississauga as well as continuing his own work there and at his home studio in Toronto. Ian hopes to continue producing unique, quality work that people will enjoy.
