Well that wraps up another successful fundraiser for Rock and Roll Society of Edmonton “Centre for Arts & Music” kids program at High Note Bar & Grill. This is my 5th year as Emcee, and I am truly honoured to help raise funds and awareness for this amazing program! 😃🎶🙌🏻
It will be a few days until the final totals are in from the cover charge, raffle $$ etc but the 50/50 was $1,830 with the lucky winner getting $915! 👍🏻💵
I was told it’s $1,000 per kid to put in the program, and there was 184 kids last year. So they need minimum $184,000 a year to keep this running, and it’s events like this and concerts throughout the year raising $$ for a very worthwhile cause. These kids get a purpose, a place to feel safe and welcome, learn new skills, and have something positive to look forward to every week.
HUUUUUGE shoutout and thank you’s to Susan, Ted, Linnea Bolseng and staff of The High Note for hosting this and many of various events that supports the community and all things local. 🙌🏻😊💜
To all the bands that donated their time today, absolutely fabulous effort and thank you for sharing your music with us 🎶🤘🏻
