Town of Cobourg Supports Provincial ‘Day of Action on Litter’
COMMUNITY: The Ontario Government has announced its first ‘Annual Litter Clean Up Day’ to help encourage communities to keep all neighbourhoods, parks and waterways are kept clean and free of litter and waste. #ActONLitter
We would like to remind citizens that it is not safe to pick up litter during the COVID-19 pandemic and to please refrain from doing so until the rescheduled cleanup event in October. Even though we cannot gather and participate in our annual cleanup events, we do encourage citizens to continue to reduce, prevent and divert waste as much as they can, including:
♻️ Choosing products with less packaging.
♻️ Knowing what goes in the green bin and blue box.
♻️ Ensuring garbage bags are properly tied or sealed.
♻️ Stack the blue box on top of the grey box.
