In previous decades, positioning was about creating a single defensible idea. Brands carved out their space, and stayed in their own lane, so to speak.

Today, technology shifts have introduced additional forces that pull brands in multiple directions, with consumers at the helm.

Social media has forced brand positioning to adapt to modern times. As a multi-faceted and ongoing strategic exercise, some think positioning is more relevant than ever.

When it comes to productivity, little things can have a big impact.

A hot cuppa joe (or tea, if that's your thing) can set the tone for a productive work day. It's a great little ritual that helps you find the get-up-and-go attitude you need to tackle your to-do list…especially on a Monday.

Delay checking your emails for a bit. Enjoy your first cup of the day. Coffee may seem trivial, but it's powerful in the context of a routine.

October was a busy month for us and now looking back at the fun work we've done.

A trip to Kamloops to visit with clients at the Tulo Centre was definitely a highlight. They are a team of strong women that are doing great things to advance self determination for First Nations. They also know how to laugh 😂

When came to us for a brand refresh, let’s just say we were jazzed.

The 10-piece soul band from Vancouver is almost ten years old and wanted a logo that reflected the growth and current band.

Through discovery and surveys with the core band, we were able to land on something that is a nod to the past. Something funky with movement and flow.

Approximately 130 members of the Gitga’at First Nation (GFN) reside in the lands and waters around Txalgiuw (Hartley Bay) in Northern BC, however, they have hundreds of other members around the province. Community is very important to Gitga’at members, and communication helps bring them together, even when they’re apart.

We were happy to help the GFN re-start their community newsletter, Amhaw, which hasn’t been distributed since 2019. Our team worked with GFN members in various departments to source content, stories, and updates from the Nation. Different members wrote different parts of the content, and we transformed the copy into a cohesive tone/voice for their member audience.

Once we received sign-off, we moved on to create a unique and branded design for the newsletter – which was created to be both professional and familiar. The newsletter was printed and distributed to members and added to the website, so all members can access information and feel connected to their community.

For the last four months, it’s been a complete immersion in bringing a small-town festival to life. As the new Director of , I’ve taken on the role of overseeing the going ons of new murals coming to our city and a giant street party.

One of the fun aspects was bringing in the Good Digital team to do brand development.

From an illustrative concept of corn dude to promotional materials, we worked on bringing a super creative festival to life.
