Hey everyone!

Season 5 of the Bloodbath league is in full swing and as we did last season, we have some pre-season rankings!

Pre-season rankings

1. Hellbrecht’s Petting Zoo - this team retains 2/3 of the XPZ team that won last season in Hamza and and Fil. Hamza has proven to be a menace with his Drukhari and Fil should go from a consistent points scorer to a big points scorer with the arrival of the new Orks dex. The team is rounded off by Adrien who has been on a tear recently with his BT and Wes, who has been away from the hobby for the last year, but should be a consistent points scorer for his team with his Nids! This team is just barely out favourites to win the league!

2. 3 Kings and Weeg Wings - this team contains the third member of the XPZ team that won last season with Mike and his Tau! He is joined by some of Bloodbath’s best with Zach on his Sisters, Mitch on his CK and Luc who is playing a brand new army with his GSC! All 4 of these players recently played Bloodbath’s top team and will certainly be some of the favourites heading into the season!

3. Dad-Hammer - the team that finished second last season has kept its full 3-man roster. Kyle and Jake were last season’s two highest individual performers. Kyle is returning with his Golden boys and although not as menacing now they will still be a threat in the hands of a faction master like Kyle. Jake is bringing his T Sons this time, an army that can put up devastating performances with the right pilot. Jakeb is playing a nasty NDK GK list this time around and the team is rounded off with a DA ironstorm list piloted by John! This team will certainly be one of the favourites to win it all.

4. Toilet Dice - this team is spearheaded by Marco on his Orks and C**t on his tau. These two young, hungry players have recently bursted onto our local scene with great results to show for it! This team adds Tyler on his WE and Jeff on his DG. Tyler has proven to be a player who can get massive wins if given the right matchups and Jeff offers a solid defender army to their team with his DG. This team will be one to watch out for and a team looking to crack the podium this season!

5. Chimera - this team is comprised of three first-time league participants and is also completely comprised of staff from Chimera Gaming! This team is chalked full of good generals piloting armies that perform super well in teams. The team has a great foundation of TJ and Will, playing DG and sisters, armies known for being able to keep any game close. The team is then rounded off with a monster mash demons list piloted by James and the dreaded Bully Boyz piloted by Andrew, both armies that can push for big wins if given the right matchups!

6. Crimson Crusaders - this squad is captained by local legend Mark Pepper and his Nids. Akash is joining Mark once again and will likely be depended upon as this team’s star player. Akash will be on the WE this time around, however he has shown his dominance with melee armies recently after a good stretch with his Custodes. The team is rounded off by Matt who is normally known for his IK, although he will be playing some different robots this time with the necrons and Frank on his salamanders who is a newcomer to the league and a relatively unknown quantity.

7. MMTA - this team is captained by none other than the giga chad himself, Lloyd on his CSM! Lloyd has been known for playing for Bloodbath teams in the past and is an absolute killer. His team of London boys consisting of Andrew on BT, Matthew on Necrons and Robert on DG are a relatively unknown quantity. With a stellar line up of armies we look forward to seeing what this team can do.

8. Four Blind Grots - these boys entered on the scene last league and surprised everyone by finishing in the top half with a 3-2 record. The trio of Darren on marines, Gregory on DG and William on Tau stays the same and they will be adding their good friend Zac to the team with his Orks. This is definitely a solid roster that we expect to see finish towards the middle of the pack.

9. The Scraps - as the name suggests this is a team of leftover players but don’t let that fool you as this team still packs a punch. Spearheaded by Eric on his tau and Cam on his demons this team can pack a punch. With Seth on SW and Tom on Necrons rounding out the team this team has lots of potential, especially if the pairings go their way.

10. Warhamsters - this team offers a full roster of players who you will usually find banging out in the mid tables. David on Orks and Andrew on GK are both making their return to the league. They are joined by Matt “Dockin” Dawkins running DG and Adam on his Tau. All 4 players on this team give some of the most enjoyable games and all their opponents are in for a great time.

11. Scotch - while not fielding the same powerful roster as last season, the Scotch boys still have a squad that will need to be respected. The team is captained by Martin and his nasty Ironstorm list. He is joined by Austin on his Custodes, Terry playing Necrons and Grant’s DG. This team has a good foundation of consistent point scoring armies with the Necrons and DG combined with the Custodes and Ironstorm which can pull big wins if given the right matchup!

12. Redacted - similar to the Scotch boys, the redacted team offers a solid foundation with captain Ryan on his Necrons and Darcy playing his DG. The team is rounded out with Stevan, playing an aggressive tau list and James, playing an elite style SW list. Other than Ryan, these players are all brand new to the league and we look forward to seeing where they end up!

13. Average Joes - last season’s runner-up for favourite opponent are back with the same team! The team consists of captain Scott playing a nasty Ironstorm list. He is joined by Juan playing T Sons, Andrew on Necrons and newcomer to the league Kyle, playing DG. These boys always offer some of the most enjoyable games of warhammer and their opponents should look forward to some great games!

14. Fluff Rakes - Last season’s spoon winners kept their full roster. This team is led by the legendary Swagmando on his Votan joined again by Dameon playing IK and Toran playing CK. The team is rounded out by Brian playing his Guard. This team brings a high toughness armour skew that will certainly catch some teams off guard. Will they finish last again this season? We don’t think so but only time will tell!

15. The Lucky Ones - This is a brand new team to the league, consisting of a group that play out if the Gamebridge store. The team is captained by Jacob and his CSM. He is joined by Neil playing Guard, Rocco (best name in the league) on SW and Terry on Aeldari. This team is a completely unknown quantity and could potentially upset some higher ranked teams!

16. Unforeseen Union - these boys are our favourites to win the spoons! This is a rag tag team of mercenary players who are here to have fun and roll dice! The team is captained by Mike playing his CSM. He is joined by Dale on GK, Clark playing SW and Shawn on Orks. While not expected to pick up many wins we are sure that these boys will only get better as the league progresses!

Well season 4 of the Bloodbath league is in the books! This was our first shot at running a teams league and it turned out to be a huge success! There were 12 teams of 3 battling it out for all the glory!

First off, our league champs are the Bloodbath boys under the name Xenos Petting Zoo! Congrats to Hamza Shoaib Syed, Filip Chajder and Mike Harrison for winning the first ever teams league with a record of 4 wins and 1 tie. Dad-hammer truly gave them a run for their money and were only 3 points away in round 5 from taking the championship for themselves!

Next, our wooden spoon winners are the Bloodbath boys under the name Fluff Rakes: Baby Seal Division, and they certainly lived up to their name. Congrats Armando Ceron, Dameon Orton and Toran Ramirez-Scrimshaw! Better luck next season boys.

Finally, we have our favourite opponent award. This award is very special as this league is all about having fun with enjoyable opponents while still playing the game at a competitive level. This was an EXTREMELY close one between two teams. Robots and Friends just edged out Average Joes to win the award. Congrats to Matt Rider, Jon and Andrew. Well deserved!

Season 5 of the Bloodbath league is already underway with 16 teams of 4 battling it out! Lookout for future posts regarding the current season

CHTT 2024 ✔️

2 teams were in attendance, Bloodbath and Beyond and BBB, and for the first time had the exact same final record!! This is a huge step in a positive direction for the Bloodbath community.

The biggest of shoutouts to Mike Harrison for running an exceptional teams league to help us prepare for major events such as this. Mike also captained the Bloodbath and Beyond team for the first time and it certainly won’t be his last! He did an amazing job behind the scenes and it certainly did not go unnoticed.

Overall, the goal for a podium finish was not reached this year but that doesn’t stop us from appreciating all the hard work everyone put in. Thank you everyone that made this possible and cya next year !!

Hey everyone!

Sorry for the tardiness of this post but here is the match breakdown and results for the first round of the current 3-man teams Bloodbath League. Rankings shown are each team’s pre-season ranking.

Mission: Deploy Servo Skulls, Crucicle of Battle, Chilling Rain

Toilet dice (5th) vs Avergae Joes (9th)
Result: 59-1 win for Toilet Dice
This match was certainly a one-sided affair. The young guns at Toilet Dice came hot out the gates and showed everyone that they are not to be taken lightly.

ScotchHammered (3rd) vs Robots and Friends (7th)
Result: 45-15 win for ScotchHammered
ScotchHammered showed everyone why they are ranked a top 3 team coming into this season. A close game was played between Jesse’s Eldar and Jon’s T-Sons. However the ScotchHammered Sisters piloted by Glen and World Eaters piloted by Tyler ended up being too much for Robots and Friends to handle.

Team Chimera (6th) vs Three Blind Grots (10th)
Result: 46-14 win for Chimera
Similar to the previous mentioned match, this round had a tight game played between Mark’s Nids and Gregory’s DG. However the player skill of two of the regions better players Akash and Ross was enough to push Chimera over the edge to a comfortable win.

Dad-Hammer (2nd) vs The Di**le Berries (4th)
Result: 33-27 win for Dad-Hammer
This was the banger matchup of round one, two teams looking for the crown locking horns round one. This match started with a tie between both teams most feared players: Jake’s CSM and Zach’s Sisters. Kyle and his Custodes then took a big win off the Eric’s Tau. It all came down to the game between Adrien and Jakeb where Adrien won the game, but was one point shy of getting a draw for the round. This round could not have been any closer!

Xenos Petting Zoo (1st) vs Fluff Rakes: Baby Seal Division (11th)
Result: 59-1 win for Xenos Petting Zoo
The league favourites showed why they are ranked number one and quickly dispatched of the Baby Seals. This was a matchup of some of Bloodbath’s best players vs some of Bloodbath’s best blokes! Laughs were had but this ended up being a Bloodbath!

Pirates of the Terrabean (8th) vs Deez Dice (12th)
Result: Tie 30-30
This matchup ended up being the closest not only team vs team but also for each individual match itself. Martin and his DA got a tie against Jeff and his DG. Both team’s also got an 11-9 win with Adam’s Tau taking out Brian’s Guard and Matt’s CSM winning 11-9 the other way against Grant’s DG. This was a close round filled with close games!

With round 2 already in the books look forward for the recap of round 2 coming within the next week!

Hey everyone!

Haven’t posted in a while but happy new years to everyone from the Bloodbath team! This last weekend we had seven Bloodbath members attend two different events. We had a total of four players make the OWL season finals and two players who made their way out to the Crit Hit GT.

First we have the OWL finals, where all four Bloodbath members finished in the top 6! Hamza Shoaib Syed, Filip Chajder and Corey Cameron all put down respectable 2-1 records but it was our very own Zach Riegling who took the big dub with his sisters and he continues to be on an absolute tear. He had to take out both Hamza and Fil and his way to the crown, well done Zach!

Lastly we have the Crit Hit GT where three Bloodbath members made the trip. The $wag daddy himself Armando Ceron picked up a win for a 1-4 record and Luc Bourdages finished with a solid 3-2. The big result came from Adrien Mindjimba who came 3rd place with a 4-1 record, his best finish at a GT to date! Funnily enough Adrien’s loss came at the hands of Luc himself. Well done guys and congrats again to Adrien!

This weekend on the 20th Chimera is hosting an RTT where there will be four Bloodbath members present. Pop in if you’re in the area and say hi!

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone!

For our final team spot light for the Bloodbath League we have the Bloodbath boys at Xenos Petting Zoo!

Projected placing: 1st/12
Previous seasons combined record: 28-4-3
Rating: 1.69

Xenos Petting Zoo is a roster fielding some of Bloodbath’s very best players, all playing their favourite Xenos faction! The team is captained by Bloodbath OG Mike Harrison and he is joined by legendary Bloodbath players Hamza Shoaib Syed and Filip Chajder. This team is the outright favourite to win it all. Mike and Hamza have combined to win the previous 5 local leagues and they haven’t shown any signs of slowing down. This team will have its eyes set on that top spot. With a number of amazing teams in the league, we look forward to seeing if someone can stop this Goliath.

First up with have Mike who will be playing his favourite faction, the Tau! Mike has a love for fast gun-line armies and his style of tau list has a tonne of speed and can apply ridiculous amounts of pressure. Modelled after Richard Siegler’s list that he recently piloted to great success at the WCW, Mike’s tau list focusses on breacher-fish, pathfinders and crisis suits to offer great mobility that can deal the damage required where needed. It’s a mission-focussed list that should be able to scrape points even if the toughest of matches.

Next we have Mike’s more-skilled and less-handsome duo, Hamza. Hamza has been on an absolute tear with his Eldar for the past year. He has won the last two local singles leagues and his talents even landed him a golden ticket to compete at the recent WCW in Atalanta! Hamza’s list focusses mainly on the double avatars supported by a slew of support characters and mission playing units. With the power of the Eldar faction and Hamza being one of of the best players in the area, he will certainly be expected to bring in big points for his team.

Lastly we have the workhorse of the team playing his Orks, Fil! Fil is easily one of Bloodbath’s best and most beloved players. Widely considered to always be one of the nicest guys in the room, Fil certainly embodies what it means to be a part of Bloodbath and he is an absolute gem to play at the table. Fil is mostly known for his Orks and he finds comfort in the chaos of scrappy games. Fil is a player who knows how to get the most points feasibly possible in most situations. His high-pressure infantry focussed list has all the tools to take the the table and will easily make a game feel chaotic for his opponents.

That’s all for our team spotlights, we hope you all enjoyed them. Look forward in the future for round summary posts. A post for a summary of the round 1 matches will be coming in the near future.

Stay safe everyone!

For our next team spot light for the Bloodbath League we have Toilet Dice CA!
Projected placing: 5th/12
Previous seasons combined record: 8-5-2 (Mitch only)
Rating: 1.2

Toilet Dice CA is a team that consists two young, hungry players that are new to our scene, along side a veteran Bloodbath player. The team is captained by Marco Zecconi and he along with his good friend C**t Branch both made a thunderous debut in our local scene dropping a combined 7-3 record in the recent OWL, beating many notably good players along the way. The team is rounded out by Bloodbath veteran Mitchell Kent, who is known to always putting up consistent numbers in our leagues. This team has a tonne of raw skill and potential and they are our team to watch out for!

First up with have Marco who will be playing his brutal Orks! Marco is new to the scene, however he has already proven he can dominate high level players with his Orks. His list surely applies the mid-table pressure and will hit you hard with beefy combat characters/units that can feel impossible to kill on the waggghhh turn. His army on WTC layouts will surely be a consistent scoring threat that has the ability to punch up and score big wins.

Next we have C**t, another new player to our scene who came in with a bang the last OWL season with his Tau! Only dropping one game and also beating notably great players in our area he has shown that he has what it takes. His balanced list offering infantry, transports, crisis and broadsides has all the tools to give him options into any army he plays against. We look forward to the continuation of the dominance he has shown prior to the league.

Lastly we have Mitch, a Bloodbath member known for his consistent play and irresistible charm! Mitch is fielding a nasty 20 abbarant list that certainly has the muscle to get its way through most matchups and will have opponents begging they don’t come back to life. Mitch has countless reps on his GSC and his knowledge of the faction combined with others lack of knowledge of the faction should give him the upper edge in a lot of his games.

Tune in tomorrow for our final team spotlight for our league favourites, Xenos Petting Zoo!

For our next team spot light for the Bloodbath League we have Three Blind Grots!
Projected placing: 10th/12
Previous seasons combined record: 2-3
Rating: 0.8

Not much is known about the Three Blind Grots. The team is relatively unknown as two players are making their Bloodbath league debut and Darren has only played in a single Bloodbath league. The team is captained by Darren Coomber and he will be joined by his friends William Pearson and Gregory Dadson. This team has the potential to catch a lot of other teams off guard and we are excited to see how they do in their debut!

First up with have Darren who will be playing his Ironstorm Iron Hands! For what his list may lack in mission playing units it more than makes up for in sheer damage output. A slew of tanks and dreadnoughts backed by techmarines with the amazing ironstorm enhancements will have this list hitting like a tonne of bricks! We are greatly looking forward to how this army performs

Next we have William, a brand new player the league who has been running the Tau with a very unique twist! William is playing an extremely balanced list that showcases all the different types of units Tau have at their disposal. His list may be missing Tetras but he’s got a STORMSURGE!? That’s right William said F*** the meta and he’s throwing down some serious big dice energy.

Lastly we have Gregory, another brand new player to our league and he will be playing his Death Guard! DG are an extremely good army for teams as their resilience and great mid-board control allow them to scrape out good points even in the toughest of matchups. Gregory is bringing Morty to the table along side a wide variety of DG vehicles/troops AND a great unclean one! Let’s see how these two stinky greater demons play into the field!

Tune in for another post tomorrow for our next team, Toilet Dice CA!

For our next team spot light for the Bloodbath League we have The Di**le Berries!
Projected placing: 4th/12
Previous seasons combined record: 18-11-2
Rating: 1.23

The Di**le Berries are fielding a roster of some of Bloodbath’s best and most experienced players. All players on this team have participated in multiple GTs and team events under the Bloodbath banner. The team is captained by Ad Dm and he will be joined by Eric Noguera and Zach Riegling to round out the team. This team has a lot of talent and they will surely have their eyes set on a podium finish and a possible league championship!

First up with have Adrien who will be playing his the only faction we have ever seen him play, Black Templars! Adrien’s list offers a lot of heavy-hitting bricks of infantry supported by the hard-hitting characters the Templars have access to. Backed up by a slew of great utility units, Adrien’s list offers great board control and secondary scoring capability.

Next we have Eric, a player who has been running the Tau ever since the start of the edition! Eric’s list has a heavy concentration of crisis suits and lone ops (specifically the ghostkeels), supported by fantastic scoring units. It’s a list that will dominate armies with extreme speed and a mass of S8 shooting. We look forward to how Eric performs and how other teams will put into his list.

Lastly we have Zach, a player normally known for playing his Demons but is now playing a new army, Sisters of Battle! Zach has been on an absolute tear with his sisters and has become one of the best players in the area. He just won a 24-person RTT with them and has been thrashing top Bloodbath team members in practice games. His list combines the power of 30 arcos in rhinos supported by 3 exorcists and a slew of other great units. Zach is surely going to be a terror for most teams to deal with.

For our next team spot light for the Bloodbath League we have Team Chimera!
Projected placing: 6th/12
Previous seasons combined record: 14-14-2
Rating: 1.00

Team Chimera brings one of the most well-rounded rosters in the league. The team is captained by the legendary Mark Pepper, an absolute icon of our local scene. He will be joined by Ross Robinson and Akash Vaswani, both are players who have been rising through the ranks of our community and consistently put up above-average results. This team has a lot of potential and is a great mix of veteran leadership and raw talent. This team will be definitely have its eyes set on a top-5 placing.

First up with have the legend himself Mark who will be playing his Nids! Mark’s list offers a great balance of little gribblies to play the mission backed up by several hard-hitting monsters. Mark is known as a consistent player and his balanced bug list has all the tools to ensure he can score consistently and keep games tight.

Next we have Ross, a player who has been on a year lately and is also known for putting consistent results in our local leagues. He will be fielding a devastating 10-man wraithguard brick backed up by the Yncarne, a pair of spinners and MSU, a list that truly has all the tools. The power of the faction mixed with his skill will make him very hard for most teams to deal with.

Lastly we have Akash, a player normally known for rocking the golden boys who decided to throw down with some Tau! His crisis heavy list with a brick of broadsides has the fire power to make most opponents think twice about wanting this matchup. With a strong list backed by a solid general, we look forward to seeing what Akash does with the fish boys!

For our next team spot light for the Bloodbath League we have ScotchHammered!
Projected placing: 3rd/12
Previous seasons combined record: 14-7-4
Rating: 1.28

ScotchHammered offers some of the most well known and well-rounded players in our
community. The ScotchHammer and Bloodbath teams have always been good friends and we have all helped mold each other into better players, and this team has some great players! The team is captained by Jesse Parent who along side Glen Cation have been playing in the local scene for quite some time. The team is rounded out by Tyler Obront, a relatively new and very hungry player to our community. This team will be looking for a podium finish and I’m sure are gunning to become league champs!

First up with have Jesse who will be fielding the only faction we have seen him play, Eldar! Jesse has always been an Eldar faction specialist and we are looking forward to him flexing the power of his army combined with his knowledge and experience of the army. Jesse’s list will hit you hard with the double avatar but has all the small units to run around and allow him to score all the points!

Next we have Glen, who like Jesse is a specialist of his faction, the Sister of Battle!Glen had been using his sisters exclusively since the Bloodbath leagues started. He consistently puts up good results with them and shows that once he is familiar with his list/play style he really starts to amplify his results. With how good the army currently is, we expect big things from Glen!

Lastly we have Tyler, who made a thunderous debut in the Bloodbath league last season putting up a 4-0-1 record, finishing second. Tyler is our only World Eaters player in the league and he has shown that he is able to put up BIG numbers with them. Playing a faction not many have practice into will surely give him the upper hand and in a lot of cases make pairing into this team like a shot in the dark.

Tune in for another post tomorrow for our next team, Team Chimera!
