Discovering this was huge for me.

It was so easy to see why I was so friggin tired being a full-time working mom- the evidence was in plain sight.

But why was being a stay-at-home mom just as exhausting... I had a harder time wrapping my head around.

Until this concept came into my life.

And please don't take this the wrong way, I know the partner who still works outside of the home deserves recognition for those struggles as well but that isn't what I am addressing here.

This is still a work in progress in our home, but we started by getting Dad linked into the family schedule- yes you do have a life and responsibilities outside of work, feel free to know when garbage day is.

And I've quit letting myself feel guilty for both asking and paying for help. I'm not shy to admit I have better s**t to do than clean my house and quite frankly, don't love doing it every. Fu***ng. Day.

So here's your sign to hire that house cleaner you've always wanted. Don't even look at the price tag for the gain will be worth it.

The last 2.5 years of my life have hands down held more wonder and value than the decade before.

And not just because I quit my time-consuming job and started a business of my own but because for the first time in my life my agenda has been my own.

With no one else to interfere or blame for my problems- I have learned to enjoy the little moments, you know the ones that actually make up life.

Do I accomplish something amazing every day? Absolutely not, I don't even beat my children out of bed every day but that's the beauty of knowing the value of sleep and you're worth.

All I know for sure is I'm no longer spending my days doing things I don't like doing so that I can go on living to continue doing things I don't like doing and it feels way less stupid.

You aren't stuck unless you choose to be. Your time is valuable and so are you!

You are your own greatest resource. Let me help you tap into that potential and make 2022 the year you take complete control of your life.

Going back to work after my first baby was a new form of torture added in the mix of parenting. Everything about parenting is so damn hard, including dropping them off for an someone else to raise.

Everyday she came home with me tricks and developed an adorable mix of mandarin and English as she spent substantially more time with her Asian caregiver than myself.

Those 2 short hours after work used to rush together supper, throw them in a bath and then plead for bedtime was a very unfulfilled relationship, for both of us I'm sure.

I'll never forget that week before I went back, full of tears and discomfort as I pass my creation off to someone else to raise.

Ironically it's been 2 years since I quit that job to the day. It would also be time to head back of I hadn't decided it create a different life for myself in the meantime.

Never settle ladies. You deserve exactly what you want, and your babies deserve you to have it.

And just like that, my baby is 1! He's a hilarious little animal lover with a contagious laugh who's mostly tons of fun to have around even if he rises earlier than mom likes too. This crazy monkey keeps everyone on their toes with his mad climbing skills and insistent cheers. He busted out a few steps and is finally figuring out mom this week! Love you long time little man 🥰

What's your total, let me know in the comments! It's just a number really and based entirely on your self assessment, but how do you feel about it?

2 years ago I would have given myself maybe a total of 20/80. Today, on my 33rd birthday I've calculated a solid 53/80.

Still room for improvement, but there always is and that's the best part about living in this world we live in.

You are not a tree. You are free to move and change as you see fit, there's no need to adapt to crappy surroundings unless you choose to. You can accomplish anything you set your mind to. The key is small steps, tiny goals compiled into an accomplishment.

2 years ago today I was still at my toxic job, spending my birthday with people who did not give AF about me aside from being a warm body that could help with the work load. I'll be straight up, it was torture.

I've never really enjoyed my birthday, saying I don't mentally age well for the last decade. Every birthday was a reminder it had been another year and I guess I wasn't happy with my progress.

However I think I was just always surrounded by the wrong people and all around on the wrong path.
I don't have everything figured out just yet but today I can celebrate my life with ease knowing I'm at least free to be me and spend everyday with the right people 🥰

A mother's worth cannot be truly celebrated in one day. To all the amazing women out there, babies or not, you are phenomenal.

Whatever you give a woman, she will make greater. If you give her s***m, she'll give you a baby.. If you give her a house, she'll give you a home. If you give her groceries, she'll give you a meal. If you give her a smile, she'll give you her heart. She multiplies and enlarges what is given to her. So, if you give her any crap, be ready to receive a ton of s**t!
