NOTICE TO RESIDENTS - WOOD ASH COLLECTION

The City of Bathurst informs residents that the next scheduled collection of wood ashes will be on Wednesday January 29, 2025.

Ashes should be placed in double bags with a maximum weight of 50lbs (22.5kg) each.

Residents wishing this service must contact the City of Bathurst at 548-0400 (choose option #1) no later than Monday, January 27, 2025.

La Ville de Bathurst informe les résidentes et résidents que la prochaine collecte spéciale de cendres provenant des résidences privées est prévue pour le mercredi 29 janvier 2025.

Les cendres devraient être placées dans des sacs doublés, ayant un poids ne dépassant pas 50 livres (22.5 kilogrammes) chaque.

Les résidents qui désirent utiliser ce service doivent communiquer avec la Ville de Bathurst au 548-0400 (choisir l'option 1) au plus t**d le lundi 27 janvier 2025.

The Caraquet RCMP is asking for the public's help following an armed robbery in Bas-Caraquet, N.B.

On December 28, 2024, at approximately 5:08 p.m., an individual entered a business on St-Paul Street, in Bas-Caraquet, and demanded money from the cashier. The individual then fled the scene in a dark SUV, with an undisclosed amount of money. No one was injured during the incident.

The individual is described as a man, with a medium build and medium height. At the time of the theft, he was wearing a mask, sunglasses, and was armed with a baseball bat. A photo of the individual or the vehicle used is not available at this time.
