We spend 6 days on a thru hike to Assiniboine. About10-15km a day so we could enjoy every moment of it as see as many sunrises and sunsets as possible. It was honestly so amazing! It's doable in 1-2 days, but why rush when you can enjoy all the beauty.

I was not expecting this hike to be so good!

It was on my bucket list of hikes I wanted to accomplish for about 3 years, but I wasn't sure why. I just saw a few photos of it and said I wanted to do it. But never researched it, nor made the effort to do it. Then, one day I did it with no expectations, and I was blown away. Such an amazing hike and stunning views all around.

This hike I definitely recommend to anyone who's into hiking and wanted to experience the Canadian Rockies.

I think I got my brother addicted to backcountry camping 🏕️🤗

After many months of planning, we completed several multi-day treks and day-trips in the Canadian Rockies, throughout Alberta & BC. It was an amazing two weeks!

We experienced and captured some awesome memories together, and hopefully get to go on many more adventures in the future!

We even had the opportunity to partner with , trying out their new sleep systems on all of our backcountry treks.

Ahhh, it also happens that today is his birthday!

Embrace the beauty around you.

Many people avoid going out when the weather is all rainy & gloomy like this. But, these are the few times when I take out my camera. I think it looks a lot more amazing and moody than a bright sunny day.

As a guide, many of my clients can sometimes feel down about the weather, but this is when you get to embrace the unique moments and see things from a different perspective. You get to show them how to take these photos and they are just amazed.

Who knew I'd be going winter camping in summer 🏕️❄️

It was a good start for the first two kilometers, and then it was deep snow the rest of the way up, for 15km. Never ended up making it to the end, but the views were pretty good.

AND THE STARS! OMG ✨🤩

I also got to test out the new sleep system, which was pretty cool. Will be trying out their stuff a few more times this summer.

If there's one thing I'd recommend doing near the town of Banff, it's getting to the top of Sulphur Mountain by gondola or hiking up.

Head to the top and watch the sunset and enjoy the breathtaking views. No matter which way you choose to get there, the views are worth it!

Walking the ridge line

This hike ended up being a bit more of a challenge than we first thought. It started at 4am when we realized that the weather was not on our side, and a sunrise hike was not ideal. So, we cancelled the hike. As the day went on, it started to get nicer and nicer, and just like that, plans were back on.

We started our ascent up to the summit for sunset, but when we crossed the tree line, near the top, things got a little bit more complicated and difficult. Microspikes were not nearly enough to keep going as the terrain was too steep and icy. For every two steps up it was over step down.

I had to pull out the crampons and ice axe for the final push. Unfortunately, we didn't summit on time for sunset, but we managed to get some amazing views at the ridge line! And blue hour was spectacular!! 💙 This would be an amazing wide print Id love to add to my collection.

Exploring a glacier ice cave in the heart of the Canadian Rockies.

It's honestly a spectacular sight to get up close to one of these ice caves within a glacier.

This ice cave was unique as it had a ceiling full of hoar frost built up. It created these beautiful geometric shapes and patterns that I've never seen before, from sharp spikes to hexagonal spiral patterns. From a distance it looked like soft velvet.

You can find these amazing caves in glaciers along the Icefields parkway. But accessing some of them is difficult or dangerous as you're crossing many rivers, through avalanche territory or near crevasses, so you have to be experienced and go prepared. They are not your typical tourist hikes.
