Have you checked your mail? :D
Have you received your first complimentary copy of The Neighbourhood Post? Go check your mail ... and make a tea or coffee & enjoy :)
We are hoping to receive enough interest to provide the Bear River and surrounding areas with your/our own monthly newspaper filled with local news, events & happenings, a Did You Know section, special announcements, Find the Loonie and game page, free not-for-profit advertisements, as well as paid ads, etc. Who knows where this will take us?! In the crazy world we live in today, we thought some good news was needed ~ something to look forward to each month! Not to sound callous to events taking place around the world, of course.
Why pay for something that you can find on Facebook ~ The Neighbourhood Post offers something different ~ other than browsing with a cursor, and the endless scrolling, and having to take the negative with the good (maybe that's just me.)
I like the idea of having and/or creating something that may be going out of style, I love the fact that events will be in one area and easy to find when I want it. I imagined a nice binder for the printed newspapers, and not forgetting to mention that The Neighbourhood Post would be a wonderful keepsake, I think! For the digitally savvy, online subscription is available ~ in each edition of the Post, there are/will be links to people, pages, and other info to click on, and you have the option of printing it out. The online subscription is a lower fee. The printed out subscription is not only printed, but delivered to B0S 1B0, or mailed the old fashioned way which I love. Not sure about y'all, but I get nothing but bills. I used to love checking the mail as a child ~ I couldn't wait to see if my autograph came in the mail from some teen-age subscription I had written into (I actually did received an autographed photo of Olivia Newton John from her fan club!) My point is ~ I miss receiving letters and things of interest in the mail. I'm blabbering.
Who knows who will be in the next print! Submit your photos, recipes, news, special announcements, etc. I would love to show your pets off! Who knows? We could have something real cool ... I think; or are we dreamers? lol
If you're interested, please leave (inbox) your name and mailing/email address. We'll contact you if this project is a go! Deadline for subscription sign-up is Thursday, November 23, 2023. By this date, we'll know if there are enough subscribers for a December issue.
If you have not received this in your mail box, send us your email address, and we'll send you the link to a complimentary First Edition (hopefully not our only) of The Neighbourhood Post! We will include subscription information there :)
Cheers!
