Writing weather.
Too bad I was outside when it hit.
Billions of dollars on satellites... π€¦ββοΈ
Like my youngest says, "Never trust a weatherman."
I've waited all winter to sit on the porch in the rain with a cup of coffee and say, "Ah, we needed this."
But yesterday's deluge was enough. April showers can take a break now.
Maybe I'll actually get some writing done today. π¬
Since y'all like sunsets so much...

Frankie and Oscar get off on the wrong foot.
Read their enemies-to-lovers story in πPitty Party.
Available through @kobobooks and wherever books are sold.
If you ever need a sweet romance rec, just yelp for help. Ruby and Steel are bringing you 6 sweet options. All the β€οΈβπ₯, no πΆ.
Steel is partial to Total Bull because Genie was inspired by his stubbornness and dramatics. It also happens to be free, which leaves extra $ for dog treats.
Stay warm out there, friends. To all of us in North America dealing with this cold snap, stay inside and read! It's safer. I also recommend a warm drink and cute critter to cuddle.
Feel free to tag me in pictures with your reading buddies! I love them all.

It's simple, really. Slow things down and be intentional about loving every day.
Sure, I have measurable goals. I want to take @closeddoorromance's amazing Instagram course for authors. Read more books by indie authors outside of what I'm working on. Add more creatures to our little hobby farm. Sell more books (though, this still terrifies me, so I'm not sure I'll every truly "love" this part). Release more books. Grow my newsletter.
But I'm not putting a number on anything. Not on sales or followers or books read. Certainly not on $ earned. Because I just want to find my love for it all again.
This author gig, on top of running a business, homeschooling kids, trying to figure out homestead life, and being a present wife, can be a lot. For me, this part was never meant to feel like a job or bring me more stress than joy, and I often feel that way.
So, in 2024, I just want to love it more. And that means going at my own pace, regardless of what the numbers say.
What's your main goal for this new year?
What do you do when you have ADHD and 27 stories already started?
You start a new one and write half of it in 2 weeks, of course. Tunnel vision is a blessing and a curse.
If you read Pitty Party, you'll remember Blake. Well, he demanded his own story, so here we are. Star-Studded Affair will likely be my next release. Also, since Frankie and Oscar didn't have an epilogue, you get a glimpse into their future, since this story is set four years later.
Have you ever been to Hollywood?
I haven't been to any of the western US, but between Trip and Fall and this story, I just may have to someday.
I know it doesn't look like much of a storm when I took this video 20 minutes ago, but it sure is now. This was just the start of the snowfall. (Check my stories for 5 minutes later.)
Let's hope the whirling snow is the only storm we all face this week.
Happy Monday, everyone!
My first book babies are still my most vulnerable. On the border of women's fiction and romance, these stories dive into the struggles of navigating life with mental illness.
They are raw and emotional, but they are also heart-warming and fun.
Bring your tissues.

Have you ever read the terms and conditions on your ebook accounts? I've only used K!ndle, so I researched the T&C after going down a rabbit hole. I came across some IG comments from people who had their entire account (as readers) terminated. Meaning everything they paid good money for, they no longer had access to.
It's not my intention to start an uprising or anything, because rules are important and limits should exist. The problem is when those rules punish the wrong people.
So beware. You don't own your ebooks, and it is possible to lose access to them.
I'm curious if anyone has read T&C on other ebook platforms if they have the same type of statement and if there are cases of this happening.
