MOVING ON! women's basketball picks up its first postseason win in school history, defeating South Arkansas Community College, 67-49. NPC will face North Arkansas College in the Region II Tournament semifinals at Harding University on Friday.

2022 Spring Youth Teeball and Softball sign ups are going on now over at https://www.cityhs.net/507/Sport-Recreation. You can either fill out a registration form online or stop by 111 Opera Street and fill out a form at our office.

Sign ups will run until 3/4/2022 and games begin the week of 4/4/2022!

We decided to proceed with our original registration process while we work on the new registration online portal. Please share this post with your friends so no one misses out. Thanks!

Congrats, Cooper!

Don’t let their record fool you, the Conway Christian Eagles are getting better each game. Led by budding underclassmen, the Eagles are looking to spread their wings right when it matters the most.

“We have a very young team with only one senior and one junior in the rotation currently,” Eagles junior guard Cooper Ellis said. “We have very little senior high experience combined. As the season has progressed, I can personally tell that our younger players are starting to adapt and learn the differences between Junior High and Senior High basketball. Everyone on the team works their tails off every game. No matter what our record is I am proud to play with all of them.”

We wish you a very successful rest of the season, Cooper, and want to officially congratulate you on being chosen as a 2021-22 501 LIFE Basketball Team Member.

HEATING UP: With last night's win over Southwest Tennessee Community College, the women have won three consecutive games for the first time in Nighthawk history. Congratulations to Coach Battles and the Nighthawks on a job well done. The team returns in January for the start of Region II play. Get 'em Hawks!

🎉⚾ YOUTH LEAGUE BASEBALL RETURNS TO HOT SPRINGS!! 🎉⚾ Registration will open on January 10th for youth ages 5 to 15!

Please share the news with parents & friends... and encourage friends to like this page for continued updates!

League play will start Monday, March 28, and run through May 26. League games will be played on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings.

Age divisions and registration costs will be:
• 5 and 6 Tee Ball Cal Ripken — $75
• 7 and 8 Coach Pitch Cal Ripken — $85
• 9 and 10 Cal Ripken — $95
• 11 and 12 Cal Ripken — $95
• 13 through 15 Babe Ruth League — $95
There will be no admission charge for league games.

“There will be financial assistance for those kids who need it through the Majestic Park Scholarship Fund,” Derek Phillips, General Manager of Majestic Park explains. “Our goal is to help all kids play and have good baseball equipment through this fund. The Scholarship Fund is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that was established to assist kids who can’t afford to sign up or buy baseball equipment. This was created to make sure any boy or girl will be able to play ball at Majestic Park.”

Congratulations to Conway's Manny Smith!

For the last three years at Conway High School, Manny Smith has almost certainly been the most dynamic athlete any time he stepped on the field. This season, Smith’s big-time playmaking ability, combined with an overall more balanced offense and a turnover-hungry defense, has the Wampus Cats primed for a deep playoff run. Conway (8-2, 6-1) finished as the No. 2 seed out of the 7A Central, earning a first-round bye for the first time since 2014.

“On the field, Manny is a shining example of a leader that is driven by his competitive spirit,” Conway Head Coach Keith Fimple said. “He shows a great work ethic anytime he steps onto the football field. To see your best players be the hardest workers on the field is a shining example of a culture that any team would want."

Congratulations to Lake Hamilton's Zach Roberts!

A heartbreaking loss in last year’s Class 6A title game left Lake Hamilton hungry for more coming into 2021. One year later, the Wolves are one of 12 teams remaining in the hunt for this year’s title. With four games separating them from their goal, they’re ready to pull out all stops to take the crown.

“Making it to War Memorial Stadium was my favorite football memory I’ve made, by far,” Wolves senior defensive end Zach Roberts said. “The adrenaline rush when the lights hit you, plus being around all your brothers is the most-satisfying feeling you could ever imagine.”

Ethan Cash and the undefeated Vilonia Eagles look to spoil senior night for also-undefeated Greenbrier.

After an impressive 9-0 start to the season, Vilonia has proven that they belong in the discussion for this year’s Class 5A title.

“This season has been outstanding for everyone,” Eagles senior linebacker Ethan Cash said. “Every single player on our team has had a great year. Even though we are undefeated, we can still get better. Week after week, we’re focusing on the little things to make us better, whether it’s dropping catches or missing tackles. Our goal is to win state, and we do that by avoiding slow starts and preventing teams from hanging with us that shouldn’t be playing close with us.”

Tonight, the stage is set for what just may be the most important battle for the Judge’s Cup in Faulkner County history. With both Greenbrier and Vilonia flexing undefeated records and the Class 5A West conference title up for grabs, someone must lose this Friday night. Cash says it won’t be the team wearing red and white.
