We youths need to get involve in sports
Not to get K¡Ll3d in a place where peace is supposed to exist.
Something so common as football field, where we can appreciate laughs, fun, unity.
where we can see community friends turn into football rivals just for the love of running behind a ball trying to have fun.
A place where joy should be present, this time the joy turned into tears of a father/mother crying because it's son was murdered in that field .
In that field where Chris would usually find happiness, this time he found death caused by a heartless person.
A heartless person working for a mindless Administration that is charging youths to use the field that was built with the Taxes payed by their parents.
We are youths not Animals.
We must live , not get killed.
We shall raise our voices for all the youths that have been murderd by the adults that should've been here to protect us, but instead they are killing our generation.

CAMBIO EN EL TOQUE DE QUEDA A PARTIR DEL 22 DE NOVIEMBRE

El Ministro de Salud y Bienestar, Michel Chebat, ha anunciado esta mañana que el horario de toque de queda cambiará a partir del lunes 22 de noviembre.

A partir de esa fecha, el horario de toque de queda de domingo a jueves pasará a ser de las 10pm a las 4am.

El horario de toque de queda de viernes y sábado pasará a ser de las 11pm a las 4am.

Además, a partir de esa fecha se eliminará la obligación de presentar la tarjeta de vacunación antes de entrar en un restaurante.

changes in the COVID-19 regulations.

Sunday to Thursday curfew will be take effect 10 p.m. to 4 a.m.

Friday and Saturday the curfew will take effect 11 p.m. to 4 a.m.

Additionally no vaccine card will be required to enter restaurants.

These changes will take effect on November 22.

**NEW REGULATIONS COMING**

Prime Minister John Briceno is slated to address the nation today via a pre-recorded statement. Reports to our Love News suggest that Cabinet gave the nod for an earlier curfew and a Sunday lockdown. The curfew will reportedly be moved up to 7pm - 4am and on Sundays movements will be restricted giving an exception only for emergency purposes. Casinos, gyms and other businesses to be specified will be shutdown for what we understand to be a 14-day period. Again, this is only preliminary information and will not be confirmed until the Prime Minister makes his announcement. We are told that the Prime Minister's address should be released in time for the 6pm newscast. Stay tuned to Love News for further details.///////

Justice Must be Swift

As I am sure has been the case for many Belizeans, the anguished cries of a child, and the shock and pain of a mother who saw their loved one killed in cold blood over the weekend have stayed with me. I am disgusted, appalled and outraged at the shooting which took the life of BDF soldier Jessie Escobar in Santa Familia on Sunday night.
No right-thinking Belizean needs a prolonged investigation to determine that the use of lethal force was unjustified. Justice must be delivered swiftly, and without impediment or interference, to ensure that a message is clearly sent. Our law enforcement officers are on our streets to protect and serve, not to punish and shoot. I fully understand that there will be circumstances which call for aggressive Policing, and even the use of force. THIS WAS NOT SUCH A CIRCUMSTANCE.

Condolences to the family could never be enough. I call on the Belize Police Department, the Belize Defence Force and the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions to do the right thing, for the murdered soldier and for the family he left behind. They deserve no less.
On behalf of my family, and of my government, I send prayers to those who are grieving the terrible loss. There is no excuse that can be accepted. None.

La casa del policía Juan Carlos Morales, de 35 años, fue quemada anoche en Santa Familia, Cayo.

La información es que este incidente está relacionado con la muerte a tiros del soldado de la Fuerza de Defensa de Belice (BDF), Jessie Escobar, de 29 años.

Escobar fue asesinado a tiros por un compañero de la BDF delante de su mujer y su hijo en Santa Familia.

Further information says that George Andrews, a former employee in the ministry is also wanted by the authorities. The charge is for willful oppression which translates to utilizing powers that injured the public. The use of these powers reportedly occurred between April 14, 2016 and November 12, 2020.////
