Since I’m late to the stats sheet party, here y’all go.
🇧🇿 BELIZE U19: RIVALRY HANDLED, MOMENTUM BUILT 🇧🇿
In a game charged with pride, Belize U19 made a a statement handling Guatemala with a 72-43 victory. From the opening tip, the energy was high, with Belize dominating the first quarter turning Guatemala over play after play. Every loose ball, every fast break, every defensive trap spoke to a team locked in and hungry.
Devin Moody set the tone early, attacking the rim and crashing the boards. His 19 points and 7 rebounds were a signal that Devin is intent on leading from the front and carrying Belize as the Team Captain! Jason Orosco was everywhere—disrupting passing lanes, finishing in transition, and racking up 7 steals like it was personal. Ian Parham had a nice bounce back game, adding 11 points and pulling down 12 rebounds.
But this win wasn’t about individual stats—it was about collective fire. Belize forced 36 turnovers and turned defense into offense with 34 points off those mistakes. The fast break was relentless. The rebounding battle? Owned. And while the shooting wasn’t perfect, the intent was clear: push the pace, pressure the ball, play with heart.
There’s still polish to apply—sharper shooting, smoother ball movement, and more efficiency on offense—but the foundation is solid.
Next up: Honduras. One more step to seal the group. One more chance to show what belief looks like in motion.
