33-YEAR-OLD MOTHER VERONICAH KGOPOLELO ARRESTED FOR ALLEGEDLY SELLING HER 13-YEAR-OLD DAUGHTER FOR S*X
A 33-year-old mother, Veronicah Kgopolelo, was arrested for allegedly selling her 13-year-old daughter for s*x.
It is alleged that Kgopolelo, a s*x worker at Broadhurst Extension 16, arranged for her 13-year-old daughter to have s*x with one of her clients in exchange for P4,000.
According to a source, on Thursday night, Veronicah and a friend took the 13-year-old girl to a bar in G-West, where they gave her alcohol.
Veronicah had arranged for a man to take the girl to a secluded location and engage in s*xual activity with her, in exchange for money.
Veronicah and her friend remained at the bar while this took place.
After the man returned with the girl, he left her by the parking lot and then went to the bar to meet Veronicah and her friend.
While Veronicah and her friend were at the bar, some food sellers noticed the girl sitting alone and asked her what she was doing there at such a late hour.
The girl allegedly told the food sellers that the man had s*xually assaulted her.
The food sellers immediately took the girl to the G-West police station, which was just a short distance away.
As Veronicah and her two companions exited the bar, they were surprised to find that the girl had disappeared.
When they asked the food sellers about the girl's whereabouts, they were told that she'd gone to the police station.
When the trio arrived at the station and demanded to see the girl, they were instead arrested.
The man managed to escape, but he was later arrested the following day.
Veronicah and her two companions were transferred to Broadhurst Police Station, where they remain in custody.
It was later revealed that Veronicah had other child negligence cases filed at the same police station.
