FULL TIME WEB DESIGNER (3 Months Contract)

We’re looking for a skilled web developer to join our team of innovative designers who are consistently raising the bar on creativity and user experiences.

The ideal candidate is someone who is eager to sharpen their web design skills, enjoys creative problem solving, and thrives in a team environment. The web developer will have an immediate effect on our brand and that of our clients as well as an ongoing impact in solidifying our industry-wide reputation for stellar design.

Key Responsibilities

• Consistently create well-designed, tested code using best practices for website development, including mobile and responsive site design.
• Debugging code and re-designing web pages.
• Creates detailed wireframes, high fidelity mock-ups, information architecture diagrams, personas, usability testing stimulus, and site maps.
• Develop or validate testing schedules, addressing all browsers and devices to ensure various computers can access content.
• Making the website search engine friendly through Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) best practices.
• Ensure website stability via regression, support quality assurance, and perform unit and user-acceptance testing to identify bugs and ensure production operations run successfully. • Create and maintain a database of design assets.
• Design, configure, implement, and administer databases.

Requirements and Skills

• Experience in iterative product design planning and development.
• Knowledge of agile practices, design thinking, visual design, interaction design, information architecture, and design industry trends.
• Excellent time-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Creativity and willingness to work on own initiative.
• Strong command of colour theory, image composition, and typography.
• Meeting legal standards such as site security, accessibility standards, freedom of information and privacy.
Qualifications
• Experience HTML, Javascript, MySQL & CSS.
• At least 4 years experience in web design.
• Basic experience with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Proficiency with content management systems, including WordPress and Drupal. • AdobeXD experience, preferred.

This becomes more evident when creating art; one way that has proven to be reliable and unmatched as a form of communication through the generations. When you consider what that is on a global scale, it’s the racial injustice and human rights issues. While at home it is more about tribal and economical injustices and differences.

In many ways, we find ways to communicate what happens around us, not only to express ourselves but to give an account of our realities and possibly change minds. We can’t collectively have one voice that speaks for us all; multitudes have to speak up, but its collective consciousness that radicalises those voices

In a perfect world, we would all have a prelude to growing pains either by way of wisdom that is passed down from one generation to the other, or by having a manual to adulting to reference, but it isn’t so. This book, however, comes to close to being the necessary manual for unlearning processes that stifles our growth to re-learning those that nurture it. It speaks to and hones the focus required for such an undertaking, in the same breath it stimulates your intellectual ability to adjust and recalibrate when necessary. For the most part as adults, we are resistant to change and any outward point of view that does not resemble anything we are familiar with; a difference of opinion can incite rejection because it stands to challenge one’s character and fundamental beliefs.
But does that have to be a thing to be received with apprehension? Does your way have to be the high way? What is life if not a myriad of opinions, beliefs and characters? What is growth if not the ability to accept those challenges and question what you know?

PLANNING A VIRTUAL EVENT WITH REAL-TIME BROADCAST?

BEHIND THE SCENES - BTC DIGITAL SHIFT BW

We received a brief together with our partner event company Native Events from client in 2020 to deliver a world-class Telco conference event, due to the global crisis in the event space caused by COVID-19 we developed a 100% digital eventing experience.

Our creative process as the agency to handle this brief was divided into three parts; Content Development, Website Development, and Environment Design and Production.

Content Development
Our team worked hand in hand with the client to help develop the strategy, identify speakers, develop content, get it right so that the event objectives are met. This also included speakers’ management from the beginning to the end with a focus on presentations, RSVP management, and rehearsals.

Website Design
Yes, we have a concept, content, an exciting set, and a world-class production team, but how do we take the content to the world?

We developed an event-centric website for the event well on time for the event, the website’s main focus was to register attendees, give them information about the event, schedule and also profile speakers, on the day of the event the show was broadcasted live from the website, the site has been specially developed in partnership with BTC Data Center to help contain the high influx of traffic.

Environment Design and Production
The concept we developed for the client was a first of its kind locally. We developed a 3D virtual set that met the theme of the event, In weeks leading to the event we developed a green screen set with advanced film lighting, the two elements combined together, we then set a production team to go live. Our production team includes a director, show caller, sound engineers, visual mixers, and a special asymmetry engineer. We also managed the easy flow of the event on the day with floor managers who kept the set flawless.

In the end, we were able to reach a global audience, engage with them in real-time through Questions and Answers, and reach the client’s objectives.
