Oampata Faith Leroy Crowned Mrs. Botswana 2024/25

In a glittering ceremony, Oampata Faith Leroy was crowned Mrs. Botswana 2024/25. The event, held this past Saturday celebrated the beauty, talent, and dedication of married women across the nation.

Oampata Faith Leroy won the title with her grace, confidence, and vision for positive change. Joining her were Gosego Rose Jamieson as 1st Princess, and Keatlaretse Tebbeth Molefe as 2nd Princess. Each contestant displayed remarkable qualities, making the competition a memorable showcase of empowerment and inspiration.

The Mrs. Botswana pageant is more than a beauty contest; it’s a platform for women to advocate for important social causes. Mrs. Leroy, Mrs. Jamieson, and Mrs. Molefe will use their titles to promote their advocacies, engage with communities, and drive positive change.

KEABETSWE BAGOMI LAUNCHES HIS BOOK, THE VALLEY OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH

The book "The Valley of the Shadow of Death" by Keabetswe Bagomi was launched this past Saturday in Francistown. The event included notable guests such as Mr. Tshekiso Tshekiso- attorney, and Ms. Maitumelo- therapist. Mr. Mashumba who is a psychologist, welcomed the audience and discussed the significance of the book in addressing mental health challenges.

Additionally, Pastor Otukile delivered a sermon also titled "The Valley of the Shadow of Death," emphasizing the universal experience of difficult periods and the comforting promise of God during such times.

A panel discussion about the book's content followed, featuring insights from various experts on mental health. Honourable Modiri Jojo Lucas concluded the event with a speech highlighting how the book can assist individuals facing tough challenges in life. He pledged his support to help the author expand the book’s reach in Francistown and encouraged the author to tour the country with the book to aid Botswana's fight against depression and suicidal ideation.
